Yeah, we made the mistake last summer of letting a "friend" stay in are apartment 'til she found a place. Big mistake, I know it's not the easiest finding a place in LA but apparently it immediately becomes "impossible" when you have the comfortable fall back of a futon and free rent. I know what it feels like to be imposed on.

I had a roomate once long ago who had random people appear in our place AND then would show up 3 hours late for her job (her boss was a mutal friend of ours). This kind of behavior (not to mention the cat thing, which alone would be reason for me to keep the cat and kick the roomate out asap) only snowballs and gets worse. I say nip it in the bud NOW! Irresponsible people who do irresponsible behavior are not the kind of people you should put your peace of mind and safety in the hands of, and at this point, I wouldn't trust her to find a good home for the kitty.
