Spitzer was taken out by big business anyway. He'd made so many powerful enemies on Wall St that it was just a matter of time before they made him pay. The wire tap would have never happened otherwise because it was obvious from the beginning that his bank realized that he wasn't involved in any bribery scheme.

Texas passed a law in september that basically allows people to kill someone that comes onto their property. you can kill someone to protect your property and its called the "castle doctrine". its apparently been passed in 19 states already.
