I'm seriously stressing out about finalizing arrangements to go to Australia. Both my mom and my sister have said, without hesitation, that I should just take the job in LA and forget about Sydney. I'm kind of leaning that way at this point. It's just too difficult to do all of this by myself.
So what should I do? Eat the small fortune I've put...

I'm in New Jersey, Which means trips to philly and the city.
Is it ironic that I'm using my economic stimulus money to pay for my deposit so I can attend the University of Sydney?

Actually, yeah, that is pretty ironic. Ironic and awesome.
Self-imposed isolation is fantastic.

Oh, and I'm growing out my pit hair.

GAHHHH, what you posted in my journal was the cutest thing I have ever seen!

How do you like this?

The fat-heads are famous! Okay, so I did this in like three minutes in photoshop, but I still think it's pretty freaking hilarious!

To continue our conversation of the other night... If you're in a "mood", this would be a good time to introduce you to Elliott Smith. If you like Jeff Buckley I have to think you'll like Elliott. This is a myspace page with a good selection of Elliott Smith songs on the player.
I remember the first time I heard him. I was watching a short film festival at a run down theater in Portland (a theater which I was later to own and contribute to further running-down--a story for another day). They used his song "Last Call" in a film and when it came on I remember a shuddering thrill coming over me. It was one of those moments where you can't pay attention to anything but that song that's playing. I'd never heard music quite like this before; it cut right through me.
I'm a wisecracking bastard by and large but, as you can tell, on the topic of Elliott Smith I wax ecstatic like the besotted fanboy that I am.

I just read. I'm sorry it happened.
But you're definitely going to have to promise to come visit in LA.
