Tonight I went to play some putt putt with my brother and his girlfriend. It was good times, for the most part. There were some cool people in front of us who eventually let us pass them. But before that, on the second hole, there was a rude douche bag behind us. We were standing there waiting for the group ahead of us to finish...

I was watching Twilight Zone: The Movie and I always think about the tragedy that happened on that set. That lead to me wondering if I could ask a dead person one question what it would be. The after life would never come up. My question would be, "Was your life worth dying for?"
This brought me down the path of death and my long...

They better not create immortality. I barely have enough money to live as long as the actuarial tables give me now.
Simple pleasures are important. One of my favorites is waking up, not by alarm or some such business, but when dreams and reality weave together as your senses begin to reawaken. If only for the briefest moment dreams become vivid reality.
For as long as I can remember I've used this moment to stretch, it's like I'm feeling for the first time and the sheets...

Simple pleasures... I enjoy when people hold the door for each other. It particularly warms my heart when I see kids holding the door for others. Only part of this is due to the fact that I'm a germaphobe and dread touching door handles. For the most part it makes me happy that people still have simple manners.
Your post made me think how much I love bed though. Freshly laundered sheets make me abundantly happy.

I'm quite fond of certain smells. Of course you know this because I've sent you texts from the lumber section at Lowes and Home Depot.
There's also the grocery store aisle that has marinara sauce jars. Many a time I've contemplated knocking a few jars over just so I can inhale the wonderfully robust fragrance, but the staff would probably be against this. Funny thing is I don't like tomato slices, but I guess that doesn't really count because a lot more work and ingredients goes into creating pasta sauce...
I go absolutely mad for a girl or guy in freshly laundered clothes. Heavily floral- or perfume-like fabric softener is offensive, so I prefer the more subtle, clean-smelling scents and textures... Even better on "t-shirt" jersey knit sheets. If I hug someone with just that evocative aroma will have me burying my face into that person's shoulder.
Among others, I can't forget the simplicity of catching up with a friend over a smooth but bold cup of coffee.
Edit: I probably should have just answered you in my own blog instead of mucking up your comment section, huh?

Soon the world will see a version of me it hasn't witnessed in nearly twenty years: a thin me. I am down to 220 lbs. and fully going on my diet again. I've been cheating on my diet eating fast food every other day or so. I still lost six pounds though. Next month my goal is to lose 20 pounds. 200 is my target...

The real question is, why were you dating her? The second real question is, when are you coming to LA to hang out?

Thank you so much for the support. I'll have more details coming up.
You know I adore you. Congrats on the weight loss!

This is one of my favorite scenes ever. I wish every time I watched it was like the first time I saw it. I was weak for the rest of the movie. If you haven't seen Semi-Pro I would suggest not watching the clip.
Another scene I wish I could watch every time as if it were the first is the scene from Grandma's Boy...

Going to Strikes for some all night bowling. I haven't been bowling in a long time. I sucked back then, so I'll be completely terrible now. Good times.
