Probably being overcautious. I was fucking angry but couldn't decide how far I could push it without risking banishment if it was seen - so after several edits I copped out & reached for the smilies. They never let you down. biggrin whatever wink

Another example showing that human stupidity knows no boundaries.

And while we're on the subject...

I'd really like to have an accurate estimate of the percentage of morons that inhabit the planet. Then again, I might be afraid to go out at all after being told shocked

Nothing much to report right now, hence the lack of updates.

kiss es to all

Er...

Well as it happens all that I know about the tantric side of Buddhism I learned from conversation as such.

Books tend to call it Vajrayana or 'Diamond Way' Buddhism. The diamond here is a translation of a concept which is closer to the concept of 'The Indestructible Vehicle'.

It relies on there being a master and a student and can be either dharmic or tantric in its approach.

The basic idea is that the teacher evaluates what it is the student needs to do to attain enlightenment and then instructs him to do it. In tantra the path to enlightenment can be as short as a few years.

However, because of the inherent risks teachers are often reluctant and books tend to shy clear of the heart of the subject altogether.

Having experienced some of the things I have following the path I can't say I necessarily disagree.

If you have any more questions I'll be happy to answer them. It's a shame you're not here any more as it's a beer conversation if ever there was one. wink

Actually, I have something interesting now. A porn site on MySpazz wants to be my friend. Interesting marketing approach, don't you think? A so-called "Julia" sent me that pic - and yes, "ascend a fall" was one of my previous MySpazz names - with a link to whatever porn site/

Did you get yours too? It's very funny to follow the link and see all...

Cheers for the comments man. Ironically, I've actually got an order pending with Amazon for Andy McCoy's "Memorabilia" album. I've not really heard much of his solo stuff apart from the Shooting Gallery album (which I actually quite like, especially that song "Restless") but the guy's definitely one of my all time guitar heroes. smile

As for the Jacobites, I have to admit I've not really heard any of their stuff although I do know Dave Kusworth was in the Dogs D'Amour before Jo joined. I will definitely investigate though - cheers man. smile

Heya, jeff me lad! I trust you and the lassie are keeping well? You often come up in conversation at meets and you are sorely missed. After all, there's no-one to travel back with me to the darkest depths of Middle-Saex nowdays, the drunken journies home were fun smile I've just ordered a load of French horror comics off of ebay, lets hope I'm upto the task of reading them, failing that I'll just look at cartoons getting mullered over.

P.S. Journal update to follow soonish, maybe, like someday this year wink Keep well mes ami,

P.P.S Interesting link! (and kink!)

Today I fainted just after a nurse stole some of my blood. I don't even recall it. N told me eeek

Words of wisdom: DO NOT get wasted the day before you have to give blood samples on a hot day in Florida, since your body temperature will be higher, you'll be mostly dehydrated... perfect conditions assembled to pass out.

I truly DESPISE having blood samples...

you're right of course, but in my defence i wasn't really thinking it through. I'm supposed to be buddhist myself, but i've never really followed it although i would like to. I'm not living in the right place and time for me to really follow anything through. to not actually desire anything is very difficult in practice! hope you are doing good around the world. smile
