Ferrets live between 7-11 years, sometimes 12 or 13 if they're really healthy and don't get the adrenal gland disease they're all mostly prone to. It was a fate we all knew would happen, but it's never one that you are really prepared for. He's in a ferret heaven we can't imagine. And yes, although I don't necessarily believe in human heaven and hell, all animals go to heaven, dammit.

a few years ago, my old monitor was doing kinda what yours is doing... only it was on the bottom of my screen. i never figured out what it was, i just bought a new monitor, and ended up throwing the old one out the back of a moving truck, just to see it shatter into a million little pieces (for lack of anything better to do with it). it quit working eventually, so it was no loss.
