I just woke from a dream.
It was the sort of dream that you don't want to emerge from because there's a need to know what has happened.
It was a fascinating take on purgatory and the battle between good and evil. If I had the writing bug in me right now I could write a whole novel based on that dream. But instead I...

I've had weird dreams all weekend. That means my health isn't so good and I need to watch myself. It also means I'm not getting much restful sleep.

Between Good and Evil, I'm not doing so well at the moment.

This weekend my mom is going on her first date since high school. She hasn't dated at all since my dad left 8 years ago. (My dad on the other hand has flaunted many a girlfriend in front of us.)
Naturally I have exacted a bit of revenge from my teenage years by giving her the thrid degree about the man she's going on a...

Well, at least she's younger (I'm assuming).

My mum moved to Olds-ville FL. She's single, looks after herself, and has all her own teeth. Every week I hear about some 80 year old Casanova trying to get some action.

Mum, god bless her, put it once, "I really don't need sex, I just need someone around who can fix things.", which rules out these golf-cart crusin wannabe Conneries.

Mind you, her handy man is like 30 and 'very latin' as she puts it. eeek

LOL. I went thruogh the same thing with my mum. She calls me every once in a while just to tell me she had gone on a date and whether it was a good one or not. It's kinda funny and endearing. biggrin

I'm dying.
Alas.
I'm having what feels like hot and cold flashes. My throat is so sore it reminds me of what it felt like to have my tonsils removed and my throat cauterized. My voice disappears if I talk too long. (And I work in a Call Center) My body aches with that fighting a cold ache. My chest is SO congested. I had...

I have mixed feelings about this show called "The Messengers"
I'm happy that they show how other people live. That they call attention to important issues.
But it's a reality show where they choose "America's next motivational speaker"
That's just fucked up.
I haven't watched it yet, but since there's nothing else on right now I've got it playing now...
I think I'm going to...

I know how to mourn a lost cat.
I know how to mourn a lost friend.

But how do you mourn a lost opportunity?
Brussels fell through.
Looks like I'm stuck in this rut for a while yet :S

At least I'm in love.

you can't mourn it....just look for it again. Did you check under the bed? How about in the bed wink

Eventually an opportunity always turns up.

I'm incredibly happy. I don't think there are words for how happy I am right now.
Scott and I have reached a level in our relationship that I've never been to with anyone else.
I mean, there are certain stages that all relationships go through over time, like the honeymoon phase, where you can't get enough of each other, or the comfort stage where it's...

Sweeeeeeeeet
Now it's my turn to be sick.
Cough, congestion, thick throat, aches... What a great way to wrap up the weekend.
The silver lining? I made Scott rub my back, throat and chest with vicks. I reek of camphor and menthol but I got some loving touch smile

This morning, he brought me an Egg McMuffin meal smile The day before I was hoping we'd get...

McMuffin and loving touch, sounds like your weekend had some bright spots. Mine were KFC and donuts. It's good comfort food, unless you're an artery.

Remember how I said I could come up with a good excuse not to go for my walk today?
How's spending 6-7 hours in the hospital?
Scott had to go in at 5am this morning. They set him up with an IV and a bunch of drugs, and he slept until he was rehydrated and feeling much better (drugged and sleepy, but MUCH better) And...
