Someone at a job interview asked me, "if you had my ideal life what would it be?" I told him being a counselor, still doing volunteer work, and have enough money to be able to donate it to my favorite causes. As of right now I can only afford the American Cancer Society and Salvation Army, along with the $1 I donate at Petsmart when I buy dog food. I volunteer at a crisis hotline, for the American Red Cross, and do fundraisers and donation drives for other places here and there, but it doesn't feel like I do anything at all. Almost sounds like what you feel also.

But, the great thing is, the more you say you want to help, the more likely someone will hear you and will also.

Your making a difference. We live in a wolrd that seems indifferent and careless towards others. Dont doubt yourself, it seems like we are not making a difference, one small step at a time.

Everynody gets sucked into parts of their lives now and then. I bet the people who have given you shit for your disappearance may have forgotten that. I bet after some time, they'll be back. maybe, you never know!

perhaps, but it also gives you a much greater appreciation for them. and really, who needs fairweather friends? fuck 'em.
