Busy week again. Not even time for my beloved comics. Boo.
Wrote a four-part serial that will begin either tomorrow or Monday on Fox -- hella long. Sheesh!
Still working on the book and trying to pick up some more freelance. Such is the life of the writer. Very cold here now, too, so I am beginning to ache. Whata whinger am I, eh?

Pretty much all my favourite artists are listed in my profile. Lately I'm really into Rey (Sharknife, Peng) as well.
I'm working on some local type indie books, and a miniseries for Speakeasy that will hopefully be done for next summer. You?

I can't stand the cold, so I completely understand. Whenever I'm cold, I pratically can't function.
Not much going on here -- just workin' away. I wish the weather would make up its mind one way or the other -- the changes are killing my joints.

I might be way off here, but have you listened to the new Neil Diamond yet? I dig it.
9monty:
Hey there friend.
Thanks for making the effort...I've been quite out of the loop lately.
With most everything I've been doing revolving around work and rehabbing my thumb I've definitely fallen into a rut that I'm not fully shaking.
Started working out again this week (4 out of 5 days) so hopefully that clenses me a little.
Have you checked out Spawn.com lately? I worked with them to get Greg Capullo and Todd McFarlane to do the covers for our gameday magazines this year. They're doing an awesome job...I'll put together the full set for you after we play our home finale.
If you find a link for that mention on gawker I'd be interested in seeing it. Couldn't find it in my search.
We fly to Jacksonville tomorrow so Imay jump on some of your music suggestions for the trip.
Go buy "Next Man Up" by John Feinstein and see some of how I'm living.
Give Li a big hug for me.
Later bro

UPDATE: PoloNovia's taking a break. She'll be back.
Well, I have been tagged by JoseArcadio so, forthwith:
1) I used to have a rather thick Scottish accent, and if you get me drunk it comes out.
2) I have rather large feet (12-13) for my height (6'0")
3) Despite living in Sox-land, I don't really care for baseball.
4) When I was a kid,...

doing good...busy..but cool..how about you guys? how are things? hello to the sexy wife
Well, I am finally back on line; my beloved PowerBook (g-d bless it) died last week and I was forced to get a new one. Sucked bad; my new PowerBook is beautiful but not the same somehow! (Although it is three times as powerful, its screen works and it has a functioning keyboard...) I had never been really "attached" to my writing tools before, but...

Enjoyed yesterday's result very much. Didn't even mind Saturday's too much either. Good to see the SPL getting a bit of a shake-up. Should make for an interesting spring. And even the national side managed to bring a smile to my face on Wednesday.

I stop in all the time! I'm addicted to "Buffy" and Mark is loaning me his personal collection on DVD. What day(s) are you there?
Back in Chicago. Book went over very well, so we're on to phase 2! Not much else reallly going on; getting ramped up for Abernathy in December 2005 and I need to build a website for meself. Excitement city. More later on...

Found your columns on Fox and been enjoying them, thanks. Bracing myself for the likely death of our World Cup hopes next week. Please god let them last till Wednesday at least!

No plans for Germany next year - unless something dramatic happens. Even if we sneak second spot, it'd probably be France or Croatia or someone in the play-off. Now if it were England .... !
Keep us posted about your December trip. We could probably organise an SGScotland meet in your honour (not that we need much excuse, truth be told!).

Oh, so, so tired out. Been working now for three weeks on clearing my desk off and just as I hit the bottom, more work comes on it. I have another 10 pages to go in this chapter and I have two days to do it. Sigh.
Enough of my grousing, however. At least it is cooling off a bit -- nice and rainy here...

she has a cocktail, like woah. I think it's some 17 pills in the morning and 23 at night. i generally can't call her after 1-2am cause she's all cotton mouthed and high as a kite. it's quite sad and disheartening, really....

I am looking forward to a fine homecoming with you this Sunday! I love you!! XOXO
Dundee United wins! Yay!
Give lots of love to Li -- I'm away for about two weeks at the moment so it's hard on the new bride! (Though she does have a Panda looking after her!)

Hey there -- I'm still on the East Coast for work; Li and Panda went home leaving me all alone and lonesome. Woe is me! But, I's gots to bring home the bacon.
So, what's going on? Well, lots of work. Writing twice a week for Fox, working on a book, still doing the Loaded stuff and all the other freelance stuff, but I'm gonna...

Woah! hey... you have fibro?! (sorry, I wasn't too interested in your favorite sexual position before...) My ma's been dealing with that shit for some 15 years now...
As her unofficial researcher, i used to know about everything there is to do with the disease; but, I've only met a few others with it, leaving me with few first-hand accounts. Certainly nobody in her condition.
We should talk/share notes about it sometime. The bar next week?

No, dammit. The wife's tattoos just pointed in that direction and i somehow caught "myalgia" in my eye. Funny though, fucker!
Yea, it's rare in men, too... right?
She's got Fibro, diabetes, thyroid, among all the other Fibro related goodies like IBS, CPS, CFS, and a few others that just get dropped into the mix. She barely missed two strokes within a few months, which was around the time she was diagnosed. Since then, she's went downhill and now is even on disability. She's a fucking mess.

OK, so, I should be working on the first chapter of my book, but I'm not because I am ass-tired. Was up until 3 am last night after playing at the Fireside here in Chicago.
This week, Li, Panda and I will be in NYC, Toronto and Columbus, so perhaps we will see some of you along the way?
