thank you smile theres nothing I love more than an excellent book!
xiyanlun:
Hahaha! Thanks for the awesome comment. XD I learned japanese in highschool (from year 6 to year 12). I think it really isn't difficult... =D Actually I always had 20/20 marks. ^^' And, yeah weird coincidences about my last status. =P

PAX East was absolutely one of the greatest times around. Mike and Jerry, the Protomen, MC Frontalot, and a surprise concert by the fantastic Random AKA Megaran, everything went amazingly. And got a crack at the 3ds. The thing looks amazing, probably around ps2 quality visuals, but I don't know about the strain on the eyes, which is, unfortunately, my main concern. Have to...

Back to school tomorrow, actually pretty relieved. This break has been less than restful...
Hello classes, prepare to be bent over.
jaclyn:
I got Mr. Fluffers (or Monsieur Moustachio, as I formally refer to him) from one of my bestest friends for Christmas, but I'd wanted him FOREVER after seeing him at Urban Outfitters and passing him up, hahaha. Dreams do come true!

It's actually a limited edition design by Frank Kozik that has been running for a while and has a lot of variants, the Labbit. His work is so punk and unique, I love it. I think my friend got him off Kidrobot or ebay, hahah.

How's life?! I start school tomorrow too, so nervous. At least I'm all settled at my new place! The very first thing I did when I got here was set up my internet. Says a lot about my priorities :X

Been a LONG while since I updated this.
Just got back from an awesome weekend with the very sexy xMistressxKirax in and around Pittsburgh.
Nothing's sexier than a woman in a peach costume asking you to teach her how to play Magic: The Gathering.
The long-ass train ride was excellent too: Several books too, and I was introduced to the darkly and starkly beautiful...

Reading Yukio Mishima (especially after watching Schrader's film) can have intensely humbling and inspiring effects on one's views. The man chose beauty and aesthetics over everything; his characters die for the sake of sublimity and Mishima did no less himself, or at least felt that he was doing such. How cruel then that he should portray the world in such dazzling and overwhelming...

Good to be back from Oklahoma, I was about to lose patience with things like "Waspers," "Warshing machines," and "y'alls." Nothing like a hoedown themed wedding to top it all off, except perhaps a 25 hour car ride with 4 other people in a diminutive fucking Prius.

On the plus side, even the most basic adherence to English grammar now thrills and delights me...

I'm pretty sure metal was created specifically for the mood I'm in: the near anarchistic desire for utter destruction, both within and without.
It's a shame I'm too impatient to have learned the guitar.

I finally gave up my girlfriend of three years, after losing my remaining patience to the constant cheating and lying. The most pathetic part is that even after all of that (and even though she tried to dump me but immediately tried to return when she'd had her fun), I felt bad for her.

On a more positive note, my reading - mostly in a...

What compulsion drives me to record the most mundane events of a similarly mundane day? Who knows.
The only interesting thing I've done is read some more "Myth of Sisyphus," which has been outstanding thus far. I'm thinking I'll follow it up with "Being and Nothingness" to get a little Existential chain going. Plus, it'll help wash clean my palette after...

Hey man, you should check out my first blog post and would you consider that Existentialism?

Preparing to write a short paper on Borges' "Library of Babel," the LAST paper of the semester, and finishing Schopenhauer at some point today. Maybe some Banjo Tooie?
Also, as a side note, Jersey drivers are the worst in the world, I'd wager. I've driven through a number of states, but Jersey's the only one in which I can feel that my...

Green tea just keeps me awake... I'd like to find something which works without taking medication. I'm tired all day !
Have you even been to south africa ?
madmelancolie:
And which country did you prefer? tongue I know someone who's from south africa and she told me it was great, apart from the heat
And I know, it's a pain in the ass to be that sensitive to everything >.<

I finally have free time, for the first time since spring break.
That means I get the chance to: read Schopenhauer, play Metal Gear Solid 2, and browse the site for hours.
Great success.
