Is it me or do you find that people are just totally fucked? I'll never understand 90% of all the people I meet. Sheesh. It never fails to be disappointed in people and yet I am always surprised when it happens.

Who's with me? mad

completely with you. its almost like you forget even though its at the back of your mind and then you're like "oh yeah, PEOPLE SUCK...why am I surprised?"
trilobyte:
And neither are potholes. Or tires.

Was in a bar last night (surprise!) and I went to the bathroom, I returned to a huge row between the bartender (who looked like a fat Ernest Hemingway) and a group of loud (not especially tho) partons who were drinking all night.

As I got back, the bartender slammed a bag of nuts on the table (gasp, smashed nuts!) and was clearly upset. The...

that guy looks like chandler from friends .. pointing in my direction. Although one time I was at this festival and everything was going to erupt into a big brawl between these two gangs cuz one guy broke the other guys chain ... I was getting out of there as soon as I could.

...a platypus (check it out: laying eggs, nerve toxin, no nipples, yet you secrete milk from your pores, furry with a duck bill, and a big flat beaver tail. You know nevermind. that doesn't sound all that good) or something from Phylum Onychophora since I couldn't decide if I wanted to be an Arthropod or an Annelid (look it up, they are way cool). Or a discus, since I think I might want my only defense against stress to be to turn black and die. That's really gothic.

no wait, it's definately a toss up between a slime mold and a were-leopard.

LIstening to Orbital. I hated this CD when I bought it..now I kinda dig it. The 2XCd with all the b-sides and bonus tracks. I tried the new Aphex Twin remix 2XCd but...it wasn't for me.

Uhg...this is the beginning of the festival of birthdays/holidays until August. Mothers Day Fathers Day, Easter, Passover, mom's b-day, dad's bday...and about a million others. This year it is...

What a great day...did absolutely nothing. I sold some CDs ($230 smackeroo's!) and treated myself to lunch at my fav. cheapo restaurant that is like a drug to me, California Chicken Cafe. Went to Aron's Records and bought the new Lucinda, the new Derailers, an Album Leaf split EP, the new White Stripes, a compilation that is a tribute to the movie 2 LANE BLACKTOP...

But y'all need to put pictures of yourself in your profiles. 'Cause I automatically assume you're a 60-year-old prison inmate.

I always do this....

I go out drinking and my eyes are bigger than my head. I mean brain. What a headache. Thank God I took asprin before I fell asleep. That was before I knocked the glass of water off the top of the bedpost with a pillow. I love a crisis at 1am.

2 martini's at The Well...and 3 beers at Brass Monkey....

Drinks, drinks, drinks!

Tonight....drinks.
Tomorrow....drinks.
Saturday....drinks (and parties and shows and art shows and girls)
Sunday....priceless.

Ok...that was sooper cheesey. But....if you could be any cocktail, in the entire cocktail kingdom, what would you be and why?

I would be an ice cold gin martini, stirred with a twist of lemon. Why? Because that first sip makes the hangover worth it.

I AM coming to LA. I just haven't decided how long I'm staying yet. I'll definitaly be there for May 27 and 28 but I'm still debating on the 29th. We have to see how the cashflow goes.

Not so much a Reese's Peanutbutter Cup girl - unless it's those crunchy ones ohhmahgaahhhdd.. - more like a... peanutbutter on everything kind of girl. God I love peanutbutter.

Tonight I saved one of my triplet kids' lives from choking on the damn stuff. Scared the shit out of me. Stupid older brother gave the kid a chunk the size of his own hand and he shoves it all into his mouth and damn near fuckin dies right in front of me. Then the older brother has the nerve to say to me, "Do you know what to do when he chokes like that?" I was like Um yes shitface did you miss it? Ugh.

Anyways yeah I'm coming to LA and I don't like alcohol.

God I love laundry day.

So how lame/cool/dorky/neat is it that the zippers on my backpack had all caught on the stitching. I have a lifetime warranty. So i shipped it to Washington last week. And today I got a FedEx package with it all fixed up. Sometimes the little things make you happy.

What's the lamest/coolest/dorkiest/neatest little thing that makes you happy?

Lotsa stuff going on too....happy about that. Music, freinds, girls, parties, drinks, celebrations, cake, games.

I'm happy today. I took the day off of work to study for a midterm and clean house, than someone called and asked if I wanted their 80 gallon fish tank. Which made my day. yay! *does the new fishtank dance*
mara1:
Mostly jumping up and down with a huge smile then running around the house trying to find a place for it to go.

So the game was cancelled. Basically, it was just me and 4 girls. My friend backed out at the last moment. But, I'll tell you, hanging with 4 girls is an education. I learned what a "helicopter" is. Anyone wanna venture a guess?

I seriously liked MY odds but I think they wanted there to be at LEAST one more guy. I haven't played Spin...

haha - the self-employment thing does definitely have its perks along with the additional responsibilities smile Someday that would be a nice place to get to, but right now I'll just keep suffering through this crap job until I can find that elusive in with the entertainment biz. I'm contemplating hiring a professional resume service of some sort to re-do my resume in a way that would be more attractive and exciting to the industry - I'm fairly certain at this point that while I've got some good skills, it's just not grabbing anybody...

So, with this wondrous and beautiful day were you able to do anything productive? Or was it just non-constructive down-time? Either way, I'd say it was the perfect day out...
mtlqueen:
Hah, I think YOU were the 'fraidy cat... *head explodes*
That's my kind of odds!
Hmmmmm... let's see... this Monday I ran errands with my business partner (meaning: we shopped for the perfect big heavy steel mixing bowl to use as a sink in the studio with some minor alterations, and ate a wicked lunch at the *swan*, which, if you this restaurant in Toronto, you'd be drooling all over your computer right now! Yummm)
Yeah, it was a pretty tough day. But then a blizzard came and knocked me off my high lazy horse. *frick frack*
kiss's to you for playing hookie wink
