Whenever someone asks me whether they should do a master's degree, I always tell them my MA year was the best and worst year of my life. Papers, class, and theatre--a two year MA squished into a year. At one point I perfected the art of the 7 minute nap because I couldn't afford to give up 20 minutes, let alone hours.

Actually I haven't read more than the first 30 pages. I've been going out a lot this week, and picked up America - (the book), which has found a special place in my heart.

man, these 20 week semesters are a pain in the pooper. and we have had numerous professors with cowboy boots, and its not too late to come here...so, you know, you could always switch career paths...

Dude I think it's a fcuking great idea! I keep a stick of butter out always so it's soft for grilled cheeses and toast. Maybe I'll look into one of those.

In my house, fake butter is simply not allowed. I have never bought it or used it, and on the few occasions I've been forced to choke it down I almost rather would have died. I'm a butter purist, and I think your butter dish is genius.

I'm glad the CD's arrived, and I'm glad you're enjoying them. It was hard to limit myself to just two discs.

I'm re-reading House of Leaves as we speak, too! Started it again a couple days ago and I keep scaring the crap out of Al by talking about my 20-ft deep closet, hehe. But yeah, I gain more respect for it every time I read from it, too.

Thanks for the recovery wishes and acknowlegement that I am indeed the most hardcore person ever. Yes, ever. They shall record my name in the annuals of history forever. Names such as Attila the Hun, Ghangis Khan, Idi Amin, and Steve Martin will be mere footnotes in comparision to my volume of harcoreness. Well, perhaps not...

Anyway, I lost a contact lens in my eye one and it came out about 2 days later all dried up. My eye really hurt for about a week afterwards, but it was fine after that. Good luck getting it out, if it's still there. Try swimming, that never fails to make me lose lenses.

Wow, I just got a chia elephant for xmas that I have yet to plant.
