It's called Karma and it gets you every time. After 2 weeks of GREAT times I am now on trial in Baltimore. It's a crazy fucked up trial that may well be unwinnable. But it's lots o' fun. So if you're in Baltimore look me up all week in the Renaisance Inner-Harbor.

BUT I'm going to u2 with Cat Saturday night, so that will redeem the whole week.

What firm are you with? I actually ended up liking Corporations a hell of a lot more than I thought I would. I have no interest in going into a big pay corporate job right now, but I figure that after a few years of public defense, it might be more appealing (at least money wise...especially if I ever get married and/or have a kid, which seems like the least likely thing in the post-breakup-world).

Some days I'm glad I got out of bed. Doesn't happen very often. It did today and here's why:

1) Most recent stress is work related. Tomorrow the Senate Judiciary Committee will have hearings to determine if they should change the law and pretty much get rid of what I do for a living. They will vote on Thursday. Not too SG of a thing...

This I know to be true: if you're feeling stressed out and uneasy with life spend 24 hours of debauchery in New York City and all will be well. Some where in the evening every piece of stress droped away and all was made good again.

What remains of me was flown home this afternoon.

Weekend:
In Detroit on Friday for some family and old friends type stuff.

Cat's massage telethon was quite the success on Saturday. Great seeing everyone who made it out.

Sunday was filled with errands, presents, an awful movie (Sahara), a quiet night cap and a vicous killer animal.

thank you, thank you, thank you, I am so looking forward to this concert, you've NO IDEA. I don't think I've been so excited about a concert since I went to see Radiohead at Alpine Valley in 2003.

Anyway, um, I'm off to work here in a minute, and I've gotta work all day tomorrow, and then I've got Mauy Thai class tomorrow night...so maybe we should meet tonight? Since you're leaving me Thursday? Is that okay? I can take the Lincoln bus down to Lucille's if that works? my last client is at 6:45 tonight, so I should be all wrapped up with notes and stuff by 8pm.

OR we could meet at the Horseshoe for some BBQ dinner? It's just 3 blocks south from my office. You remember, we've all met up there before.

Call me and let me know. I'm gonna go run some STICK DRILLS before I leave here in 45 mintues.

Thank you for your confidence! I really do feel like I have a decent chance at being published, but even if I'm not selected, I know that I at least gave it my all and had a good shot. It sucks that all the work would then translate into being for essentially nothing, but oh well. We'll see.
