Haven't posted any art stuff in at least a couple weeks, but I've still been doing stuff 😅. Here's a couple paintings, mugs, and a cat tree I built.
I could've made the cat tree a little prettier (using cabinet-grade plywood, carpeting the platforms, etc.), but I made this out of scrap wood and leftover spray paint. All it cost was time and effort 😅

A short back story: Anderson, the White Sox second baseman, has been playing dirty in a way that could result in injury to other players. José, Cleveland's third baseman, was fed up, and felt Anderson was disrespecting the game. He decided to do something about it 😂

Republicans of the Ohio General Assembly and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose (R) say the concern is that "Out-of-state interests believe the Ohio constitution can be bought,".….yet, this election, for this single issue, came after a campaign to pressure state lawmakers to put the issue before voters that was paid for by a billionaire Republican donor from Illinois……A law that banned most August special elections passed last year (by the Republican Supermajority), but then won a challenge in the Ohio Supreme Court, which ruled that law didn't apply to lawmakers who put the amendment on the ballot. Issue 1 would require 60% voter approval for future amendments, such as the abortion rights amendment expected in November, but would also increase signature requirements to make it harder for citizens and groups to get amendments on the ballot.

I had a dad who was technically "there" while I was growing up, and I had uncles and an older brother, but my grandpa was the one who taught me the most about "being a man". He was quiet and reserved, but not in a menacing or intimidating way. He was an observer, and slow to anger....

Thanks for sharing. Family is a funny thing. Different for everyone, yet still so similar in many ways. My grandfather served in WW2 as well. He served out of the Philippines, he flew reconnaissance missions. Sadly I didn’t get to know much else. When I started to grow into a man in my teens is when I got sick and my RA took over. He meant well and wanted the best for me, but he was black and white and we rarely agreed on what was best for me. I still miss him and wonder what he would have made of the man I became. He passed from cancer when I was 22.
