I came to the realization that my retreat from everything about six months ago was an instinctual act of self-preservation.

I'm ok with keeping things on the internet ON the internet.

It is the height of cowardice, but I've met too many people who seemed normal on paper, but turned out to be off their rocker.

I mean we're talking bipolar mood swings, coming up...

But what fun are normal people?

Although I agree it is disheartening how many people hide, or do not even recognize, their huge personality flaws.

I had a dream a few nights ago where I was with old friends I hadn't seen in years (some who might be dead now) and my brother showed up in a baseball uniform like the one he wore when he was 17. Only this time it was all white and he was backlit with an unearthly glow, just like in The Natural or Field...

Youthink your dreams are bad I often have dreams where I fail to score with women...

Life is bad when you ain't got game in your own dreams.

Dreams are bizarre. I always thought they were your subconsious' way of releasing emoition - like an overnight therapy session - but too many dreams seem more frustrating than they're worth.

Thank you for my birthday wish!

Happy Valentine's Day, fellow SGers!

Snow junkies rejoice. You got your wish!

I can't complain, though. At least I don't have that soul-crushing commute into Downtown Chicago anymore.

You know what I wish? I wish we could find out what happened to Anna Nicole Smith. Because we don't know enough about her personal life, how she died, how many men she had sex with, or...

So I realized today that I'm not always shy in groups, just shy when I'm one on one with someone I don't know very well.

Give me a smaller group and we play off of each other and I can usually hit it off with at least two or three people. Put me in a situation where I have to sit and talk with one...

I actulaly think that is a fairly common thing... one on one conversations are hard with strangers.

Ditto Doug above. Now try making conversation with a complete stranger while naked, and you have a glimpse of what a stripper's life is like.

Holy crap, this game is giving me high blood pressure!

I really want to kill Rex Grossman.

Ah well, better luck next year.

GO BEARS!

I lost my damn ATM card this weekend...AGAIN!

Thankfully, I put a rush on the replacement so I should be getting it tomorrow.

And there's a branch of my bank right behind my building at work. Which is nice.

I lost 1.5 lbs! Ok, that's not all THAT impressive, but still. If I can keep that up each week, I can lose 20 lbs or...

Hysanadu's Sense of Snow

I feel a need to hibernate every year around this time. It's not a bad thing, really. I just tend to not get much done. I get more done during the week now that my entire "commute" is a 25 minute walk or a 5 minute train ride home.

Weekends have turned into even more of an exercise in "let's see...

Nothing better than watching X-Play on a Saturday morning. MMM, Morgan Webb.

I should get a move on, though.

I have a new tie rack!

Man, I really am a nerd.

Wait, what?

Oh, man...do people piss me off sometimes. It's cool, though. Everything works out for the better.

I spent over a hundred bucks on stuff for work. At this new job, we have to wear ties every day except Friday.

That's possibly the strictest dress code I've had since I was a kid and we went to school at the Mosque over on Stony...

Same situation here! Dress codes kind of stink don't they. I appreciate denim much more since I actually began acting and dressing like a law person. I sometimes wonder if I like fridays because of the casual outfits or because at 6:30 I become a free man for a couple of days.

Does the dress code apply to everyone or just men? 'cause in my office, it doesn't apply to women. Talk about being equal! mad
olsen:
lol that's exactly why this is so exciting for me.

LOL the guy I'm dating has curly hair about an inch or two tall, bordering on an afro. ....Last weekend I curled it until I had made him two little horns/ears. If you can't dye it, shape it....right?

So it's day three of my new fitness kick.

It's not a New Year's resolution or anything. And the thing is, I still indulge, but I'm exercising at my health club after work for at least 38-40 minutes, and I feel a lot better. So I'm hoping six months of this begin to show some results. I'm taking it slowly.

And no snacking during the...
