My trip to the University of Illinois is complete! I really should have taken pictures, but I was slacking. Sorry. frown So anyway, we left at like 4 am which was hellish because I got maybe 2.5 hours of sleep. Most of the ride was going through the middle of nowhere, including such hotspots as Strawn, IL, population 150. We passed a fairly large windmill farm, which resulted in the most quotable thing my mom has ever said.
"Oh, look, windmills! Those are powered by the sun, right?"
Needless to say, I'm not letting her live it down.

We got there early enough to where I got to get my i-card before everyone else. I ended up opening a new bank account because they were giving out free hoodies and weren't requiring a deposit. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good deal. Everything really began around 9 with a couple ladies talking about the school and financial aid. There were a lot more people there than I expected, especially considering there are several transfer registration days. When they said the school is huge, they meant it. After the general presentation, we split up depending on which college we belonged to. Liberal Arts and Sciences is the biggest one, so I still had plenty of company. After another presentation from them, we split into smaller groups depending on our major. There were 13 psych majors there including me. One of them was this really hot Polish kid who I managed to find on Facebook knowing nothing but the school he's coming from.I would have added him if it wasn't going to make me look like a stalker (even if I am one).

So skipping a bunch of details, I ended up going to lunch late because I was trying to register for classes. I gotta say, finding a schedule that fits is really difficult. Ate, went back to finish registering, got a little lost, found my way. My schedule isn't too bad. Algebra, chemistry, child psych, Spanish 3, and a writing intensive class about the Holocaust. For the most part, I have classes later in the day... except my Holocaust discussion session is at 8 am on Fridays. Fuck. Whatever, I'll deal. I'm really excited.

We got to walk around a little bit. The Quad is big and beautiful. Full of trees and super green grass. I love it! I think I can definitely get used to living there when I go back in August.

I apologize for all the details and kinda rushing at the end. I'm super excited about it and also on my way to go pick up Chinese. Yay food! If I think of anything else, I'll fill you guys in! <3
