I'm in Los Angeles. Toms mom passed away at around midnight. I'm glad I can be here for him.. And his sister. My heart is heavy. Seeing the hurt and sorrow in his eyes reminds me of me almost 5 years ago.

I saw it last weekend. While the movie was reasonably good, I didn't see much of any relation to the book. I would have rather seen the stories of the book made into a movie. Something like a documentary with long flashback scenes.
