Driving around areas where people own 400 acre weekend homes when you don't even own the 1-2 acres you would like to live on is incredibly depressing.

Incredibly depressing indeed.

jamberee_:
i have that same thought a lot... its strange the way wealth is divided!
marvel:
LoL, I'd like to own any acres please.

I have time to sit and type an actual update.

Christine complained that we haven't had a date night/day in a while, and she was right, so Sunday we went to the Peabody Museum in New Haven.
It was ok. Would have been better if there hadn't been an event going on that blocked off like 50% of the exhibits (most of the stuff I...

Off to track fawns in the newly fallen snow. It could be an easy day, or a pain in the ass.
I suppose I will see in an hour or so.

State holiday today...but I have to go out and check bait sites.

Lame.

Best part...it's 5 degrees where I have to go check the sites. Awesome.

If this week was a person, it would lick the windows on the short bus.

Seriously.

No offense to window lickers or short bus riders.

So I just went and checked out the Facebook family options and they added a step-parent option.
So I changed my step-dad to the option for Step-dad, but I am not going to call my "father" and tell him.
Fuck it. I'm still of the mind that if he wants to be that petty, he can fuck himself.

So today I dropped off that road...

So today was fucking stupid.

I started it as usual...and headed out to track the fawns. Didn't find them, so I triangulated. No big deal.
Then I headed to Southbury because public works had a road kill for me. We need samples from that zone, so it was a head to collect.
On the way, I get a call from my boss about a woman...

She is doing great (for a terminally ill dog)! She keeps on surprising us and the doctors-- hopefully we can get her to her 10th b-day (this Sep.)-- the odds are hugely against this-- but she's beaten so many before that I can't help but hope!

Onyx edition of Stratego for $25 at Barnes & Noble. Gotta love the 50% off table. I want to pick up Platinum edition Monopoly at some point too.
Christine picked up a game called "Zombies." Hard to explain, but a lot of fun.
I kicked her ass....but she won Stratego, so...it worked out.

Awww! I know, right?! I totally love cats too. I wish I could have one, but my dog would definitely eat it. She has ridiculous hunting instincts!!

Keep an eye out in the Wall Street Journal. They called and interviewed me about "The Innkeepers."
(Movie that was filmed in the hotel I used to work for, and the main character is named after me.)

Yay.

dryad:
That's cool. But then I'd have to read the WSJ.
ellerslie:
Thanks dude! And congrats on the interview!!

Today was easy. As I drove past the field I saw the deer bedded down, so I parked in the driveway and walked up there. One of them met me at the edge of the field and the other 3 soon followed to say hello. They kinda swarmed around me for a bit, let me take some pics and I left. As I drove by...

Yahoo says it's 9 degrees outside. I sure hope the fawns I track want to be found today.
Don't feel like being outside for 2 hours tracking them down.

I mean...who can pick only 20?

They're not Pokemon, Luke. You don't have to collect them all.

Lol I totally just pictured hot SG's doing battle in my head. It would be epic!... and hot.
