I don't know how much more of this winter I can take. Got back to Brooklyn last night, and our entire block had lost power. It's about 45 degrees in the downstairs, it's maybe going to warm up to freezing soon. This is totally unacceptable. I was going to write something more inspiriational, but I had to thrwo my inspiration on the fire to stay...

A little background:
Sometimes, I do work for "The Party Crew." (Admission of guilt with some stifled laughing)
"The Party Crew" is a company that provides event staff. Pretty much all the guys are working on their modeling careers, or trying to be actors. So they are good looking. But, Good Lord, some of them are dumb as posts. Honestly.
Anyway, we were working this...

If you feel like there is an absence in your life, it is probably due to the fact that you are not providing that thing you are missing.
If you feel like you're not getting enought respect, your probably not giving enough respect. If you feel like your not getting enough love, your proably not giving enough love.

***Very inspirational.....***

Thank you! smile

Cool that makes a lot of sense. Give love and you get love.

The dating thing I signed up with is on nerve.com, I haven't really gone anywhere with that. It was just for fun, I am not really interested in anything right now. I believe more in fate and finding the right person by chance and not by actively pursueing it.

The phone call thing, I haven't called him. I was being the sucky one. I finally called him though, we went out yesterday and we are gonna' meet for drinks tomorrow night. We are just dating, nothin' serious.

I said the following thing about a week ago before flying back to New York.

"Morbid thought: If you died in a plane crash or some other method (here's praying I don't) how would anyone who communicated with you through email and cell phone know? Hopefully, it will not be an issue."

Obviously, I am okay. However, my roomate gave me some sad news. A...

The dying in a plane crash thing: I have always thought about that too. I think if you knew someone well enough or someone knew them that word would get out. What a weird thing to think about huh. Like If I die tomorrow, who will go to my funeral?

You look hot in the revolutionist shirt. I meant the beret thing to be like, "If you are young and hip enough to pull this off, then go for it!" Not an insult at all. You're a hottie in my book! kiss

Thank you! I will let everyone know how it turns out...

I am off to New York tomorrow, and becuase our old internet sucked, we have cancelled it at my apartment. I don't think I can survive very long without SG so I must get hooked up ASAP.

Good luck with the flight. Ever since reading "Catcher in the rye", I hate to say Good Luck. But you requested it so there it is.

Me no flirting? Yeah right.

Actually I just found him (the guy I am dating) on this online dating service, he obviously is out there flirting too. hehe. It's all good. He and I are just having fun together, nothing serious.
yumchen:
Good luck to you! YOu can do it!

I think the message would be eventually passed on through the grape vine of some sort. That is if your friends are acquanted at all.

Have fun!

Must . . . remain . . . calm.
The Portland Airport is totally closed for the entire day until 7:00 tomorrow! And I couldn't even book a flight until Saturday! Jesus F'ing Christ! This is unreal! Motherfucker!

Portland? No, I haven't been to Portland. Are you still stuck there or did you fly back home yet?

Are you kidding me? You must be fucking kidding me, so I'll ask again.

Are you fucking kidding me?
Right now, Portland, Oregon is experiencing one of it's worst blizzards ever. It's not too bad, but everything is shut down and it's about 22 degrees. This blows. I come home for vacation looking forward to a break from the awful winter in New York and...

Going home to Portland for the Holidays. I am so looking forward to being back home. If only my parents hadn't moved into a new house where I have to sleep on a futon, I'd be really psyched. As it is, I am only mariginally pysched.

God, please let me be able to just once in my life create something as good as "The Charlie Brown Christmas Special." I just watched it, and I almost cried. If anyone knows it well, the rendering of the Christmas Tree market is one of the most beautiful works of art I have seen. The yellow halos around the lights, the handmade quality of the...

The Prep School Diaries, Chapter 1

Anyone here go to prep school? I did for one year, and it was easily the worst nine months of my life. I didn't know it at the time, but the place I went in Connecticut (nexus of the boarding school universe) had a repuatation for being a prison. Not surprisingly, they left that out of the brochure.
I...

I went to public school. Our first gang incident involved a meat hook. Really, a meat hook.

There were no nuns with rulers. That sort of thing happened in earlier generations. But yes, they did push God on me pretty hardcore. I prayed multiple times a day, was forced to foresake classes like art for religion, where they taught me how to be a good Catholic and went to a bunch of mandatory masses. It would have been all fine and good had I not starting questioning their fatith in (also Catholic) elementary school. ( I was a curious child)

As for things to do in Portland, you can pick up a copy of the Mercury as well. It usually has listings of shows and stuff. There are usually interesting thing to do if you just poke around a bit.

I recently read a collection of short stories by Jay McInerney, titled "How It Ended." It's only beginnings of stories, and it's brilliant.
One of the passages that struck me as being particularly eloquent was an actress dsicussing her life.
"The thing about fame," she said, "you think everyone will love you, that it's a way to become close to people." She stopped and took...

Don't worry about that, SGNY has parties all the time. I'm sure there will be something else you can attend before much time passes.
