Comics!
Through the boards the other day I was introduced to the comic known as Something Positive which I promptly wasted several hours reading the entire archive of.
So here are some other comics that I read semi-regularly, for your enjoyment!
Penny Arcade
Rehabilitating Mr. Wiggles
Red Meat
Yes, I have a thing for the sick and twisted in my comics... so any other comics...

I've been getting slammed at work lately, consequently, my posting here has gone down. I need to make more time for SG.... or at least to look at some nice pics.
I suppose there are worse problems to have... my business is expanding, and we're moving into bigger offices... yeah!

Oooh.... funky new "Friends" table layout... I like it!
I'm just taking a break to relax with some pictures of beautiful girls before getting back to work. Lots of editing this week... many festival deadlines approaching.

Another day, another dollar... sorta. At least it seems I may have finally lit a fire under the butt of my composer... I am really dying to get my latest project finished, and for the last three weeks, I have been waiting on his ass... He's supposed to come over with the completed score tomorrow. We'll see if that truly does materialize. Grrrr.
Let's see,...

The Muses were great- you are right about that. Tanya "special guested" the show- they did lots of old stuff. Honeychain, Vicky's Box, Manic, Pearl... it was spectacular. Check out

Easy like Sunday morning? I think not. At least not the way I spend Saturday night.

I'm having a lot of trouble motivating myself this week, and the week has hardly begun. I have one project that is now a day over-due, and yet, I watched movies all night instead of working on it. Oh well...
Any other creative types have a problem with becoming bored with a project before it is really finished? I'm always really excited about a piece...

This ALWAYS happens to me... and, after thinking about it, I think its because i have solved the problem of the project before actually FINSIHING the project. therefore, finishing it is really just grunt work, when, in my head, its already done and I'm off on a new problem. Same as you.
the way i think to solve is-- chunk your time, and give yourself time to concentrate on the new stuff as a treat for working on the old, unfinished stuff. Multiple projects is no problem-- just keep working on the grunt stuff but allow yourself some time to play with the new ideas.

Yeah, I definitely hear you. It seems like I practically have to strap myself down in the editing room to complete a movie. There's a definite arc of enthusiasm that you go through in filmmaking; it all starts out in your head as the perfect film until you realize there's about a million complications and limitations between your vision and the fnished film. Like the quote from Day for Night says: "Making a film is like a stagecoach trip. At first you hope for a nice ride. Eventually you just hope to reach your destination."
Ungh.
It's almost noon, and I've basically been up all night working. It all started yesterday when the video array crashed and I lost a ton of work... so I had to start over on a several things.
Me. Sleep. Now.

I am such a news junkie... it's really unhealthy. I sit here at work all day long, checking CNN every 15 minutes just to make sure I don't miss out when they announce the DNA findings that might be Laci Peterson. Sadly, I don't even really care! I just can't stand not knowing what is going on in the world around me.

I'm without cable, so I do a lot of my news-cruising online. I was so excited about that colossal squid, yo.
You see birds fall from the window ledge above mine.
Then they flap their wings at the last second.
I can see their dead weight
Just dropping like stones
For small loaves of bread
Past my window all the time.
But unless I get up,
Walk across the room
And peer down below,
I don't see their last second curves
Toward a horizontal flight.

Grrrr. I went to Barnes and Nobel tonight, to buy some books with a good ol' gift certificate and was pissed off at some of the people. There were about 10 books on the topic, and so I wanted to flip through them to see which one was worth getting...
So I wander around the store, looking for a chair, and most of them are...

Yeah, I'm a big pushover, so I can never say (or do) half the things I think of... I just don't have it in me to be that rude, even when other people are.... *sigh*

Nonono, that's when you PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE. It's always the answer. And fun!
I have no idea what the group's name is--the album is called 5th Wheel to the Coach, though. Their name is in Japanese, and alas, I can't read it.

Ah... just returned from karaoke at Trader Todds... what a blast! Haven't done karaoke in a long time! Did Walkin' After Midnight by Patsy Cline. Too bad I was too drunk to really do it justice...

I'll tell you what, the IRS fucks you and doesn't even clean up the cum stains. I've gotta pay the freakin' first quarter taxes too! Bastards.
I have four fat, lazy, and stupid cats. See, apparently you can't just leave food out for your cats (according to my vet, the idea of cats 'self-regulating' their food intake is myth). So, I've got four fat cats.
Since they need to go on a diet, so to speak, I've taken to giving each of them individual, measured portions of food twice a day....
