I need to get a new camera. I just came inside from watching the birds. There was quite an assemblage - Rose Breasted Grosbeaks, a Flicker and four other woodpeckers, Goldfinches, Red-Winged Blackbirds and Wild Turkeys across the river. I couldn't get a good picture of any of them. Maybe tomorrow.

You may have noticed that I haven't been around for the past few days....

What a nice thing to say. I rarely drink, only because I don't like the taste of alcohol. Lyrical used to make me some alcoholic concoction using mango juice. I couldn't taste the alcohol at all. It was very delicious..

I'm going to my daughter's singing group's semi-annual show this morning. It starts at 11:00am. There's going to be lots of food that the performers will be bringing that will be served after the show. Afterwards, we're going to the cemetery to visit Annettte's gravesite. It's going to be emotional for both Heather and myself I'm sure.

I wish you a wonderful day.

The overnight forecast chance of showers turned into a wild and windy hour long deluge. The clouds must be drained. Now were having a beautiful, sunny morning totally unlike that which was forecast.

Im hoping the heavy rain knocked some pollen out of the air as well. Im all for anything involving or encouraging propagation, but my allergies have been horrendous over the past few...

Its been hot here in Dutchess County, and Tuesday was no exception. The temperature reached ninety two degrees in the afternoon before a cold front moved in and caused a drop of nearly 30 degrees in just a couple of hours. The resulting lightning and high wind knocked out my phone and internet. I didnt miss it all that much - I was outside enjoying...

You will find the book quite different - in character emphasis, in meaning, even in depiction of specific events. It's probably best to treat them as two different entities. The book is, nonetheless, excellent and well worth reading.

Minghella, when making a film adaptation, would read the book a few times. Then put it away and not refer to it again. His creativity could then take over, as it did in Truly, Madly, Deeply, The Talented Mr Ripley and Cold Mountain as well. He was a great director, and it is a tragedy that he died so young. Everyone who worked with him said what a kind and fundamentally decent man he was, and I think that shines through in the sensitivity of his work.

Enough with the sickness already.

I'm sure you're being off the site and people having good things happen to them is purely coincidental.

Yes, the weekend was special. I still have trouble with isolation on weekends, although it's not nearly as bad as before. That wasan't an issue this time. My daughters are proof that women not being able to keep a secret is a myth.

The video link was wonderful! The puppy bug is quite infectious, isn't it? You wouldn't believe those tiny bundles grow 27" high at the shoulder, and can have a fair stab at jumping a 7' fence.

I have to go out later. Ive been whining about being ill for the past few days I seem to have caught some sort of flu-like virus. Im unable stay awake for long stretches of time, cant move around very much and am capable of reading little more than a magazine. I forget sentences and thoughts just as soon as Ive moved on to the...

Wow! You must really be out of it.

The person I proposed to send my story to has accepted. I'll be sending it via a pm in two instatallments. It's not really meant for publication. Although it has components that explore the human condition, it's much too graphic for publication in any mainstream venue. The irony is that what I'll be describing is not some product of a vivid imagination. Everything I'll be writing about is absolutely true. Besides, while I'm not one bit embarassed about anything I'd be revealing, I'm not ready to put it out there for just anyone to see.

More about this and other things at a later time.

Get better already.

Damn. I think Im getting sick. frown

I had a wonderful evening out last night a delicious and enjoyable dinner with friends. I brought them a bottle of wine and a 2009 SG Pinups for Soldiers Calendar. Both were appreciated and we all had a great time.

Today I have chills, the shakes and a roaring headache. I wanted to go hiking but thats not going...

This is a great blog. Whether people consider it self-serving or not, It's an honest assessment of your life. It incorporates the good, the bad, and the might have beens. I think that when you still are looking for things to accomplish, it gives life meaning and allows you to look to the future.

I had that sushi with my daughter Heather yesterday that I mentioned I planned to do the other day. We came back to her apartment, I logged onto SG because I wanted her to post a photo of my wedding picture. I'd wanted to do that for a while, since I'm always mentioning Annette in my blogs.

I clicked on my friends list and told Heather a little about some of my closer friends. I'm very happy that I can talk about SG, with the proper amount of discretion of course, with Heather. She doesn't want to know the intimate details of SG in general, but is happy that I'm feeling so good about the site and the friends I've made here.

So, feel free to check out my wedding pic and let me know what you think.
