It is tough doing the roomate thing, I did it for about a year, that was more than enough for me, I could barely stand it by the time I got out of it.
The wort part was, I had my own fridge in my room, and I kept all of my food in there, but they were always trying to get me to pitch in more money for stuff they consumed. Then they would get all pissed when I wouldnt.

I just saw your responce in Photographer hopefulls. I just shot with Glenn Sweet again ....and he is always good. I would also try craigslist for student photogs, or Andrew Kaiser in Santa Cruz. Also, you may try posting a free profile at modelmayhem.com. Its like myspace for models/artists and its a good way to find people willing to do TFP or try shoots for SG. How much experience modeling do you have? you might try some casual stuff first to get cumphy. I'd be glad to help further...just shoot me a comment.

Well I would highly recomend shooting for fun to get comphortable. Get a digital camera, or borrow a friends!I started shooting myself only because I played with photography in highschool and had a few folks insist on turning the camera on me. I found i was better at it then expected. I still shoot for friends who have absolutely no experience and just want to try modeling out. I will be in NY all of July, however I'll be between SF, Oakland, San Jose and Santa Cruz frequently later this year if you want to try a casual shoot for fun...no nudity required. that way you can at least get started with some kind of small port. to show photographers. Good luck! and keep in touch.
