Had my company picnic today and had a good time despite the fact it was a downpour most of the day.

I ended up winning the company's version of Fear Factor, thankfully they love me and my gross food challenge was vegetarian.

It bagged me a new block set of kitchen knives and also 100 dollars to take my coworkers to dinner. biggrin

I'm back from visiting my family in Illinois.

I'm currently eating even more cheese, some that I smuggled back with me.

I think I should have died from a colon blockage by now, but even if I do, it's worth it.

I missed real wisconson cheese so much.

Also the local beers from there I love were consumed in copeous amounts.

Hurray for 4th of July weekend at the Inner Harbor.

where is your hometown? i LOVE fireworks... i don't have any plans for the 4th.. usually my neighborhood has this HUGE mile long yard sale.. only it's more like 5 miles long now... and i always do that every year on the 4th.. but this year the fucking bible beaters complained that they'd miss church since the 4th is on a sunday, so they moved the yardsales to the 5th... ugh.. pissed me off.. and ruined my holiday.. oh well... hope you have a great day!

Work was interesting today.

District manager showed up kissing butt and says the General Manager wants to meet with me to talk about what it would take to make me stay.

So I'm somewhat of a free agent in negotiations right now, waiting to hear if they have a good enough offer or not.

I'll keep you posted for those who care.

I'm quitting my job, putting my notice in tomorrow, and have no real idea what I'm going to do for work once that's up.

Surprisingly I don't really care either.

There are plenty of other places that will gladly treat me shitty and pay me poorly I'm sure. surreal
