oh man, i am sooooo happy we have chauncey. he is great. there was talk at the trade deadline that he might be moved, that wouldve sucked. i was talking to a friend of mine saying that if this teams wins a title or if chauncey and big ben finish their careers here and they retire their numbers, 1, 2, 3 and 4 will all be unavailable. thats kind weird. 2 is retired for chuck daly cuz he won 2 titles and 4 is dumars.

how was kanye? i cant figure out what i think about him. hes a good producer, no doubt and some of his stuff is good but other times its painfully bad. like on chapelles show...oh lord he was awful. i was like damn, might as well wire your jaw shut again and maybe youll have a hit.

I am going to move to Switzerland. a nice lil villa in Fribourg or perhaps Solothurn. Play hockey the way its supposed to be played, watch soccer the way soccer is suppose to be played. Only in dreams I guess.

i wrote this in the sports group but i'm not sure how many of us go in there or how often. so i'm taking this same post to everyone who's ever mentioned that they like soccer.

i'm thinking of applying for our own soccer/football/futbol group but i need to know how man soccer fans would actually join up. so we could have a place to talk about all of our soccer stuff without having to compete or worry about close minded sports fans getting in the way of discussions. i KNOW that there wouldn't be that many members but i think that a lot of us would feel more comfortable talking and discussing a bunch of this if we had our own space. i was thinking about applying for one when i was a member but i think i'll have more of a chance now that i'm an actual sg.

so if you want your own group...come hit me up in my journal and let me know so i can work on this more seriously. biggrin

p.s. i really want to start this group so hurry up and let me know if you'd be interested.

oh, and the Belak hit was pretty fucking vicious, but at least it was in the middle of a scrum, and looked like it might possibly have not been intended to be as nasty as it looked. Whereas the Bertuzzi hit was unprovoked, and clearly designed to injure--I don't care how often Bertuzzi cries and throws out fake apologies (never ONCE has he said he's sorry for what he did, only that Moore was injured so badly.)

Anything I'm going to say about a person in power is going to be a value judgment on my part. And I'm sick of the argument that because I hate Bush I must love Clinton. I think Clinton waffled back and forth and used not-quite-wars in other countries to deflect attention from his personal scandals. Have you read about the genocide in Rwanda? Or in Somalia? North Korea threatens to have nukes, but we don't invade there. The Taliban was in power for years with their disgustingly oppressive practices before anyone in power in the US took note of them.

Why is gas $1.70 a gallon? I don't know. Maybe to disprove people who think the war was about oil. Maybe because we don't have the control over there that Bush & co. would like us to think we have. Maybe because people drive gas-guzzling SUV's for no good reason.
