Erm.... I'm not sure how to answer your question!!! Ha ha - I think us English call a Roast dinner to what we traditionally eat on a sunday and christmas day - regardless fo what we actually roast. Hmm - you know, I have always wondered what a pot roast was?
We roasted chicken, some pork (which I hate, but my dad likes) and beef,
And then had roasted potatoes parsnips, some stuffing. and some veg! oh, and yorkshire puddings. Lots of gravy. and then sat around feeling very full up.
i did try to add a picture here - but my bluetooth from my phone was playing up!

My sister's in-laws used to have a Pig Drop every year. On New Year's Eve, they would drop a pig that looked a lot like that one from one pole across the court into their backyard. It was actually awesome. The tradition fell by the wayside, sadly.
