i think i am going to have to close down my shop. i am doing some numbers and trying to decide if it's worth it at this point. it was very important to me for a while, but it has been too much of a struggle for me to keep it open. now i almost feel like i don't want to deal with it anymore....

Keeping a small business going is rough, and it looks like there's a lot of framing competion here in town.

Do what you think is best, and things will probably work out okay..

Ugh, sorry to hear things aren't going well. Let's run away from home together. kiss

Fire chains? Color me curious. wink

Fire chains sounds like a cool talent. I juggle some, but, that's pretty mundane compared to slinging around balls of flame.

Hey, thanks for the offer. I would love to get some advice. I took the new meds today, and it made my stomach hurt soooo bad. frown Also, do you know a good salt substitute? My taste buds are freaking out right now! wink

skull hello..

i have a question...

why do some people honestly think that sexual orientation is a chioce? the people who own the store where my shop is are constantly talking about how they believe that homosexuality is a chioce. and therefore they are "against" it. i'm obviously liberal and disagree with them, but it comes up quite often. i guess because of the recent...

opinions are like assholes, they are everywhere.

We get the same kind of assholes at the coffee shop (not opinions, but the ones from your entry). It's tough to just bite your tongue, since I feel that there is a time and a place for everything, and at work is neither the time or the place for a heated political and ethical debate with a total stranger. Although, they are the ones who instigated it, so why not? Ah, I love contradicting myself.

so today i am starting my "apprenticeship" learning clock repair. my friend has this clock repair business and needs help. i have a thing for any fine craftmanship. they are lost art forms. clock repair/time study, glass blowing, screen printing, pottery, blacksmiths, wood working, etc... they are all just hobbies these days it seems. my profession is almost a lost art...most framers let machines do...

When I was little, there was an elderly semi-relative I saw a few times who made grandfather clocks. I don't remember if he got heavily into the mechanics of the clocks, but they were beautiful. I'd love to have one, but he died 20 years ago probably.
