I did it... four nights in a row of Bob Dylan live. 70 songs performed in total, about 40 of them different. Tonight at the Park West was the perfect climax-- 15 feet from the stage and awesome sound.
Now all I gotta do is move on Friday...

Just finished night 2 of my four night Dylan odyssey. The Aragon & the Riv are down, the Vic & the Park West are left. Richard Daley was at the show tonight, hangin' with Jerry from Jam. Wonder if the mayor agrees with me that It Ain't Me Babe took on new layers of meaning that I never imagined it had? (More than anything it...

I can't believe I used to move every year.... Having been sedentary for the past 5, this process is kicking my ass this time.

I also need to rediscover my love for this great city. It feels kinda closed off and distant to me right now. Keeping a closer eye on the bank account has shut off some of the vices I turn to outta...

Man, life is a whirlwind right now. I'm squeezing in some time at home before heading back up the North Shore to a couple of crazy bassett hounds named Daisy and Wilson.

Condo inspection is tomorrow morning, then meet with G-Voz to put my name on all of his papers. Closing's scheduled for March 1, which ain't too far away.

Must remember to breathe...

New computer's hooked up. The flat monitor rules.

Saw a swank condo today that might just fall with the upper limits of my budget. G-Voz said he'd crunch the numbers come Monday morn.

I don't care at all about the Super Bowl this year.
trocc:

Just watched The Hired Hand, this beautiful, meloncholy western from 1971 directed by and starring Peter Fonda. Had the same cinematographer as McCabe...

Warren Oates played the other lead role and was, no surprise, incredibly, heartbreakingly good. Man, that guy could fucking act... When is Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia gonna make it to DVD, for christ sake?

Oh well, the dragon awakens...

A few days of dogsitting at a house where I can comfortably use the DSL line has re-energized my SG mojo. The site's looking good to me right now, even if my girl Isis has flipped over to the Archive side.

2004 is looking as good as I hoped it would. Talked to my mortage brokerin' buddy G-Voz and we're gonna get me in a...
