I had a purple telecaster that had a big chunk chipped out of the back. It was my "beater" jazz band guitar. I had to leave it at school and who knows what the marching band dorks did with it when I wasn't there. Probably played some shitty bar chord Blink 182 songs to impress the other marching band girls. Since it was my beater geetar, it was the only one I stickered, but only on the pick guard, I would never ruin a finish. (I know you can just sand the original finish, and paint it whatever suits your fancy. I was secretly hoping the hello kitty stickers and the purple finish would ward the boys away.) But the lipstick pickup gave out on me and I don't know shit about soldering or the electronics in guitars. So I sold it to a friend. By then, I had a parking pass, and a lockable case, and my Dean Del Sol, so a better guitar for jazz anyway. (It's a hollow body so I am really screwed when if anything happens to that pickups... or in my solid body....)

I kept the pick guard as a memento.

Alright, so I have my first custom built geetar!!! Just for me. It's a white Strat, with one humbucker and one single coil. A Floyd Rose whammy with one volume knob. What else is there in life? The neck is Crazy Birds Eye Maple and is a dream. I don't like to show-off but this bitch is bad! Check it...a little SG on the neck...

Damn, I don't know who lives in the Hampton Roads area but the fires from North Carolina are fucking killing me!!! Nothing like the smell of swamp grass and the ozone of Los Angeles to make your day complete. Good living, take care out there... skull

So I sold my Ducati and I am depressed about it. Cool ass bike but you know things change, I didn't ride that much anymore and I could use the $ for other things, like a bad ass vacation to Vegas or just start going places to see what's out there. Did I make that sentence too long and run too much together.....? Sorry about...

So I got this new geetar. It's a 2002 Tokia '57 Les Paul copy, which happens to be a compliment in this case. It is so damn close to the real thing, that I had to do a side by side comparison. I felt compelled to post the pics since I don't have a little girlie fries around to take pics of or do a...

So there I was deep in the Congo with an old pair of cargo pants on, my jackhawk knife, a good pair of boondockers and a trusty old burro named Bucket. As sweat was starting to drip off my brow, I looked up into the canopy above and saw the monkeys flying from limb to limb as if they were making fun of us in...

Alright then, I am getting ready for the drive back to Virginia. I love a good road trip, me, the tunes, the navigation lady and to quote Ricky Bobby, I love going fast!

Anyone want anything while I'm out there? Farmers Markets, used geetars, amps, hot chickies that like old dudes like me? I'm just sayin.

C'ya in a few days, EL SUICIDO LOCO
