I have a different perspective on weddings. I don't go to the ones I'm invited to but rather go to the ones I'm hired to shoot and from those experiences I've decided never to shoot another. From priests not wanting me in their churches, to a church so small it's seating capacity is 12, to a double wedding (mother and daughter but not to each other) where the daughter had had a fight with her fiance and went through the ceremony but didn't kiss him or actually marry him and danced with her father while smoking a cigarette. Yep, that's the one that broke my wedding shooting back. 
Ironically, the mother who was radiant and very happily married, died three years later from cancer. The family asked me to shoot her 'going away' party. Those shots came out better than the wedding's.
