I am not a college graduate. I went to college once for culinary arts, but half way through the course I realized that if I worked in a decent restaurant I could learn everything those bozo's were teaching me, plus get paid to do it. So I quit, I didn't want to cook for the rest of my life anyhow. Every "chef " I ever met was a hot headed, ego-maniac, and that's not me and I don't want it to ever be me. I will go back to school some day ,and I will deal with these trials and tribulations you face today. I feel sorry for you, you're in a tough boat.

Ooooh I definately can relate. i just went back to school after six years because I realized the department store I was working in was my prision and the likelyhood of me staying in the same position year after year with poor excuses of a raise handed to me was really all I had to look forward to. I know full well that I will probably be back after graduation, but atleast for now I've escaped...

Today I went out for lunch at Jack Astor's.... it was kind of a special lunch today in honour of my mother's 60th birthday. Everyone in the family was there (even her ex husband - my sister's dad and his wife), needless to say, she was a very surprized woman when she arrived. I got her a retro wooden calendat, the kind you would see...

I am sitting here in front of the computer, trying to psych myself up to start working on an essay for English. Here is the topic: With detailed attention to a particular passage or passeges, analyse the style of Swift's A Modest Proposal. How does it express the persona's character and personal history? How does it express Swift's ironic argument?

I find myself posing the...

... and what can be found in the use of the first voice is an apparent refuting of the events that had transpired. While the intention of the author is actually to direct the reader into understanding that as the main actor in those events, he actually fully supported them, and his protests where actually trying to convince himself. It is the guilt and regret that has left him to attempt to make ammends for something that is utterly irredeemable.

I was there.... I took some pictures with Trole's camera, not sure how they turned out though, I was over there yesterday and asked him - he said good... hmmm. A friend of mine, Dana, also took a bunch of pics. As a matter of fact they were on the same roll of film as that picture you see on my profile here. Oh by the way, if you really want to see them at a great venue, they are playing at the 360 in Toronto on February 22nd, and you can get a ticket for the bus trip for that. Just e-mail Gred at the website. Yep Gred.......
