I just happened to tumble across your thread of the showering with your girlfriend.

Here is my opinion. Some things, no matter how trivial they seem to us, are very intimate to others. For me, showering with someone is more intimate than exchanging bodily fluids, and I will rarely hop in to a shower with anyone unless I feel that close to them. I do not think she should get defensive, but I understand the reasoning behind it. All folks will get defensive if they think there is a chance that you will think them silly, or stupid. It is a small hang up, but it is her hang up, and you have to give her respect with it. **shrug**
