I miss riding in the crappy mid west.
no new snow tonight but my spirits are still high to ride tomorrow.
vail opened 2 of the back bowls today along with Chair 10 and Chair 26, two of my favorite frontside spots. Game Creek Bowl and the Northeast Bowl opened on friday so pretty much all the front is open for business.

yesterday was a real fun powder day. Vail opened chair 11 which is the Northeast Bowl and we found lots of pow in the trees as well as lots of little rocks to huck off of.

holy shit what a great day. 21" of snow in the last three days 18" of it was saturday and sunday morning. I woke up and got to Vail at about 8:20. At 9 i rode up the Vista Bahn and trekked over to Avanti where i met up with the Johns, emily, jackie.

My cousin lives in Vail. I used to go every winter with my old shop. It's a good mountain, but I couldn't stand some of the locals...lol.

the tourists have started pouring in, even though it hasn't snowed in 2 weeks and vail is terrible right now.
although it is pretty amusing watching the pizza pizza french fry pizza style of skiing again.

Last night went really well. we did a plated dinner for 45 people.
i was happy with how everything tasted and looked. actually more than happy, everything came out great.
