working on your birthday is a pretty good way to insure that you're going to have a pretty boring birthday. and i did.

in other news due to some bullshit i might lose the condo i've been waiting on to a "sherriff's sale" meaning the bank will foreclose on the current owners, ruining their credit for the rest of their lives, and screwing me out of the property i fell in love with. their lawyer is going to court to ask the seller's bank to hold off in order to consider the contract that we have, but right now its completely out of my hands and i'm super bummed over it. i looked at 12 places and none of them even came close to being as awesome as this one. so i've started looking again to have some back up plans. i will say this, if i lose this property within the next two weeks i am moving out of the suburbs and will rent until i can buy. i am completely over living in the burbs with my parents.

in more other news, my former boss and super talented chef was FIRED from the restaurant he co owned in denver on thursday along with my buddy Pete who was one of his sous chefs. when Jeremy told his staff he had been fired (before dinner service on thursday) Chris (sous chef) April (pastry chef), Nodin, Cole, Martin (i worked with all these people back in Vail), and two other line cooks promptly and without hesitation packed up their shit and walked out. great chef's breed loyalty.
