ha.. know whats funny? ive been having this same conversation with my friends. Ive lived all over the country.. and I live in new england now.. and seriously.. all the kids talk about all these progressive thoughts.. but then they make racist jokes. and im like, WTF? and they say "aw its just jokes" but its not really funny to me. I always just feel uncomfortable when they tell these "jokes" and none of them are funny because its like degrading an entire culture. Or the fact that everykid in new england calls women names like slut and whores on a regular basis.. for like anything. It really irritates me because I think they are really derogatory, and I dont understand why people cant just call everyone a nuetral name, like asshole. But they are always degrading women by calling them names.. and what for? well, Im a whore because I get naked on SG. Also, if a girl is clothed skimily, or if shes got a short dress, everyone calls her a slut. And I dont just mean the guys.. i mean all the girls and the guys. Its really depressing, because I just came from Philly.. where the houses I stayed in were really liberal and openminded. There were little bits of sexism and wierd additudes.. but so little that you could just talk to the person nad theyd understand. Granted they have thier crazies.. and thier people who dont care.. but theres at least a small group of decent people there. Whereas here.. I think there are 3 of us, and we live together, and soon we'll all work together haha..
