I've been trying really hard to get things done during the times that Oriana will actually sleep these days. Easier said than done. I did manage to get some new stuff done that I've been sitting on for what seems like forever. I have so much stuff to do before this craft show and so many new things to get done and listed, it seems...

Great composition on this photo.
I've struggled trying to write a blog or a post in a group this morning and I keep staring at what I've typed and then deleting it all. I can usually vent on here, but this time.. this time is different. This time, I don't think I'll be venting to anyone at all. In fact I don't even really need to vent, so much as...

i wait for tons of sexy pics

With making tea favors and putting up shelves to see that we have an entire shelf devoted to tea it's got me thinking it's time for a tea party. CFQ and I discussed a tea party picnic in the park before, but it's still too cold for that. I'm thinking that each guest brings their favorite tea (loose or bags- we can accommodate bot) and...

I love my power juicer so much! Dehydrator would be like it's evil twin.
Things have been going particularly well with Brett and I for over a week now. We've been friendlier, we've fought less (still stupid arguments), we've cuddled and we've had sex more times than in the past few months combined! Yay!
Kind of thinking all the soy in our diet has been affecting us. Brett read an article while waiting for a customer yesterday that said...

Only calories and chemicals that destroy your organs can cause weight gain. You will be ok. Bodybuilders drink soy for the protein, so if it really had bad hormones they wouldn't take it(not that they care about health). I wouldn't worry.

fallenglory:
It's not me and weight gain. It was referring to men and the affects of soy. And the way soy reacts with other chemicals in your body are what would cause the inability to burn calories as you normally would. I'm not worried.

I'm glad I didn't give up. It's a little weird to sext when you're in the other room nursing a baby to sleep for the night, but it had to be done. We started to watch a movie and then we finished around the time it was ending. He's passed out on the couch and I'm catching up on interwebs.
Anyway, in the morning I...

hahahaha, i totally forgot that EVERYONE sees when you join a new group! hahahaha.
Let me just say, when you've been sending sexts all night and then you send a picture of your vag with an index card that reads, "You. Here. 20 mins." with an arrow pointing at said vag, you're boyfriend had better be there in 20 mins.
He never reciprocated pictures from the bathroom when asked to and now he has 4 mins left......then I'm going...

I don't post enough happy blogs... so here's one.
Yesterday started out decent enough. A close friend of mine is visiting home for the week and we all hung out Saturday and Sunday evening. It's nice to see him again and he may be moving back up again if he gets a position with his cousin. I could use all the (available) friends I can...

Yes, happy birthday to me. Just another day. Brett came home, held Oriana while I finished dinner, made a comment about how long he was holding her, so I took her...then he took her when I was having trouble eating my dinner, "because it's your birthday." He's now in bed and I have a tired, cranky baby and...

(Minor correction: Ukranian Christmas is tomorrow, Friday.)
When my wife and I went to counseling, one of the things the therapist emphasized was the importance of getting away from the routine and spending time together -- that even if all we had time for was a 15 minute walk together, that it was worth doing. We tried it for a while, and it really did help us. Unfortunately, those outings migrated in to mostly "running errands", such as doing grocery shopping -- not really "us" time. But at least we get to do the errands together with opportunities to talk and laugh or hug or what-ever we feel like.
Every serious psychologist I have read or talked to (except perhaps one) has emphasized the value of some "self-time". "self-time" doesn't necessarily mean that you must leave the place (but you can do that if you want, for sure), but that for that time, someone else has the responsibilities and you get to do whatever recharges you, whether that's a hot bath, or watching an old Hawaii Five-Oh, or feeding the birds in the park, or closing yourself in the bedroom and listening to YOUR music on headphones. It isn't a "gift" that one partner gives another, it is a basic necessity. It isn't possible to be "on duty" 24 hours a day 7 days a week. My doctor would explain it in terms of cortisone build-up. Just by looking at the color of my skin, and pressing his thumb in my arm and watching how long it took for my arm to turn "pink" again, he could tell that I'd been past the point of overload for a minimum of 3 years, with 5 years more likely. Stress affects your health.
Which indirectly reminds me: since you have two children, one with your present partner and one before, and the present partner isn't doing much towards raising the kids, you should be preparing papers against the possibility that you might be unable to raise the children yourself for lesser or greater periods. A 24 hour flu is one thing, a month(s)-long stay in the hospital due to (say) pneumonia, or a drunk car driver, is another thing.

Here I am at 2:24am, wide awake because I fell asleep trying to get Oriana to sleep again and woke up at 12:30 to Brett coming in to bed, grumbling a "happy birthday" and promptly passing out. At least I got a "happy birthday" from him.
