what was he riding and what was the situation of the accident? Just curious. I'm not saying that your friend was being irresponsible or anything, but sometimes I see a lot of guys just riding like nuts, or who have bikes that are just too much for their experience level.

Yeah. I am aware of the risk involved, but then again, I got hit head on totally seemingly at random in my car, so at this point although people use the argument 'well if that happens agian you're much safer in your car' - true - but in terms of the odds of either things happening I find it just as risky either way. Who knows, it may just end up being a temporary obsession anyway.
