Then on a day to day basis make your relationship everything you think it can be. We only have the moment we are in right now. Make that moment as rad as you can. Then, over time you realize the relationship you know in your heart is there.

Seriously-- I'm glad you didn't get smacked around worse than you did. There are first time offenders in Michigan who've gotten hit a lot worse ... couple months in jail plus nasty ass fines.
I've become totally paranoid of getting popped for DUI. I figure the cost of the cab ride is worth it.
And just think ... it could be worse. They could be confining you in my bedroom for 24 hours!
