- Sunday was nice...
- Breakfast date, coffee and bagels, with H @ 10:00. Very nice, quiet, long brown hair, a little bit "crunchy", older than me. Has 12 yr old twin sons. We may go skiing, we'll probably go hiking/snowshoeing.
- Watched a Ski Jumping competition for the rest of the day.
- 7:00 for drinks with C. Short brownish blondish hair, big smile....

I am totally glad that you are having a great time with this, dude, you totally deserve to be going out and enjoying yourself. No harm in that.
Peace, it was good hearing from you again.

Thanks for the wishes! Drink a toast for me...

Thanks, man. A curious thing is happening. I am not feeling all that terrible. Maybe I don't accept it yet. Maybe it's because she's making financial ammends and I now feel like less of a chump. Maybe it's because she's being civil and decent. Maybe it's because I am going to have this place to myself! Woo hoo!

Thanks for the compliment!

Okay, so you found my old, grouchy and curmudgeonly journal entry. Like the iceberg photo? That's a new touch. And now I've joined the Geezers. And I'm somehow feeling much happier. Seriously. So, thanks for the recommendation, and...cheers!!
- Bummer, she bailed on me, and not even a phone call
! She left an offline, ambiguous sentence, on YIM, last night, that I didn't get till just a little while ago! Come on, how lame can you get... That is SO inconsiderate. It's not like we're going to run off to Tahiti and get married or anything, but jeez, have a little common...

Is "Chickenhawk" a novel? I've heard of it. Heinemann kicks ass - he went to grad school soon after he got home and was unashamed about what he wrote (a fact that endeared him to some of his profs/classmates and pissed other people off). He's not saying "what I did is great - kill 'em all!!!" but rather, "this is what we did, this is the truth, deal with it". I hope I get to that point with my writing someday, the point of being unconcerned with the idea of "hmmm, what will people think of me if I write *this*?"
jerawyn:
Actually someone else also mentioned it tonight*--never heard that before. I only remember her from one video long, long ago...but that's a fuzzy memory.

- OK, so after six months of procrastinating, I'm finally unpacking the rest of the boxes. Did I ever mention that I hate moving... And I've sprinkled artwork liberally on the former naked and boring walls. All because of a woman!
- Certainly, I may never have finished of my own accord! But the vanity factor is simply too great, I'll have a nice looking...

oh yeah, major break in service. I convinced myself that my prior GI past was incredibly ignominious so I reupped. Granted, the guard was only slightly less ridiculous but I did get to do fun grunt stuff, go through the PA Guard's pretend infantry school @ Ft Indiantown Gap (come to think of it, that was a pretty good summer - I got laid a lot for some reason!).
What did you fly?

Thank you very much for the concern, it is the kidness of strangers that is the very glue of this society, your well wishes were greatly appreciated. I will update my journal with the details, feel free to read and comment. I love the pictures of the boats, have you ever come to CT to check out the tall ships when they are here? If not, you have to this year, they are truly awesome.
Peace to you and yours my new friend.

Very cool...yeah...I'd love to try a nice Gewurtz. Let me know if you track down the name. Happy new year.
I squoooshed a mole today, by accident, I was actually trying to help him out. I was hoping that even though he was blowing blood bubbles, maybe he was just injured... naahht. Bummer, call me Lenny...

Yeah...you're right...
Xmas is the season I usually like the most...
just no familia this time around...
but...wine...
You my freind have good taste.
The first I'd recommend is tinto pesquera.
http://www.pesqueraafernandez.com/english/
You might have to search a little...but it's accessable.
Or Tinto de Toro...which is not so much a a name of a wine as it is a regional description for some tempanillos. But there are a couple that just go by Tinto de Toro that are very worth a try.
The other although not a tempranillo...is a Prioriat called Onix. you can get Onix for about $10.
I'm a huge fan of spanish wines.
By the way...nice boat. Looks like you're living quite the life.

Honestly...It's not something I've ever made. I was a bartender for a long time at a great restaurant in SF called Zibibbo that made these "morrocan spiced prawns" I'll do some research and see what I can come up with.
Ribero del duero is also very good...and if you like that you will be very pleased with any of the others I mentioned. They're probably a little more...hmmm....bold and spicy than it or a regular Rioja might be.
