Well, for those of you who were reading earlier, moonbeam3 finally found out what the ordinary everyday object was. If you couldn't guess, they were red ropes licorice.
Pics are located in the "Fun with Moonbeam" album. I think we'll just add to it as time goes by.
We had a lovely night last night. Now, I'm sitting by myself, wishing she was here.
Good songs. He had everything pretty much planned. Of course all of his music is on vinyl..... so ..... it's been kind of fun go through all of the albums.....
Man what a day. !6 hours of work and just 7 before I go right back and do it again. There are worse things though. No beautiful woman swimming laps in front of me.
On a more serious note, I have some bad news that started two nights ago and finished tonight. Its odd for me to talk about it but I do need a... Read More
Originally the plan was to go alone. It was my buddy the jumped in on the plan to go with me. I would have not gone to school if he hadn't gotten on me about signing up & all
Man, its gonna be a couple busy weeks for music. Yesterday was The Treasure Island Festival. Got to see the Flaming Lips, The decemberists, Yo La Tengo, The Walkmen, The Bob Mould Band, Grizzly Bear, Spiral Stairs, Beruit and a bunch of other people that I haven't heard before. Great stuff Truly great.
I'm trying. As far as work goes, I've got some good leads for the job I really want that should pop up in about a month or soso I am just focusing on that. My personal life is finally settled down and I just have to get my professional life there. Seems like it's always one or the other, never both.
I hope we get kids around at the door this year. Where I live back home I'm the youngest person on the street so we never get trick or treaters. It'll be fun if I get to be the Controller of Candy this time around....
I started volunteering for the Fox Theater in Oakland. The building itself is gorgeous. They recently renovated it and it was money well spent. At first, I volunteer for shows they need people but soon, I get to pick and choose the one I want to work. Free concerts in a beautiful setting? I'm down.
What a weekend. Having a beer, 8:30 in the morning with one of my best friends after a good night drinking. Thought I'd drop a word or two. The girl I talked about in the last blog continues to amaze me. Check out some of the pics. We had a nice walk through a gorgeous cemetery during which, we had a few dares and some... Read More
MAn, I haven't blogged in centuries. I have been busy though. I just made it back from a weekend camping in the northbay followed by a week's trek to Canada. Some details:
(spoilered because they contain some naughtiness.)
Hope everyone had a wonderful fourth. I know I sure did. I did some unholy damned things this weekend and had a helluva time doing it. Any details will be given on request.
Everything else is well. A bit better with mulitple person sessions.
Here I am apologizing for lack of updates but it has been busy lately.
What's new?
I, for the second time in my life, have decided to take part in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. It's a 39 mile walk though San Francisco and Mill Valley over two days. Hills, sun and old sweaty women, what is there to not like? Oh, the fact... Read More
My dad and i had a great relationship... i can't say it to him today because he died when I was 10. He was my hero! Thanks for the compliment on the picture!
Yes it was, it was one that you gave me... we were sharing it, and the last thing I saw was her turning the bottle up then asking if I had planned on having more.
No need to worry, I have returned from the land of the dead (at least inebriated) and have tasted their wares and have rejoined them and have once more taken over my kingdom. (actually, I just made it through lent and started drinking again.)
So, why not, I'll begin with that. St. Pat's was the same it has been every year for awhile. I extended... Read More
Cate and Tilda...in the same movie...my head 'splodes at the thought. I need to see that.
Hope that the busyness isn't driving you too crazy. Enjoy yourself! Cheers!
Yea for the house (even though it brings it's own set of headaches). Even more yea for the walking and reading. I bought Mark Twains Letters from Earth on the suggestion of a friend but have not had the time to read it. It sounds very good. I'll let you know. I'm sorry you and her don't get much time together right now. The only nice side about that is how precious your time you get together really is. Yeah, I know. Sappy but true.
First things first, Lent is on and so far so good. The thing is, I can go a week with out a drink and not think anything about it but the knowledge that I can't have one makes me want one. I forgot all about this curious phenomenon until I started back up again. Suddenly, I find myself staring at wine... Read More
hahahaha god you know me too well.
Thank you for making me laugh for the first time today. You have no idea how much I needed that.
Reading going? Walking going? Not slacking just because I haven't been around have you?
I think that I may start looking into fares to fly out. I really need a break, some alone time for just me. Maybe for a long weekend or something? I have to see what the $$$ looks like then......
I'm the same way as far as the answer to my question
