The Mighty Boosh Aftershow Party exceeded my wildest dreams!! 
If you don't know what the hell this Mighty Boosh nonsense is about, they are comedians/musicians/artists with a TV series and live shows/stand-up comedy. They are so unique and obscure, there's nothing quite like them! But, they sum up my sense of humour haha! Very odd!
Anyway, they are touring for a few months (going to see the show tonight!) and went to the aftershow party that was held after a gig they did last night.
I am not usually obsessed with celebrities, the only 'loves' in my life are Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and Mike Patton of Faith No More and the Mighty Boosh!! I'm in the Boosh fan club, yes, I'm a geek and no, I don't care!
This was a surprise night out from me to my best friend, Emma, for a Christmas present, she is also a massive fan.
The night was awesome! Robots in Disguise played and were amazing and the cast of the Mighty Boosh, Mike Fielding (Naboo) and Dave Brown (Bollo) did a DJ set and the other members Julian Barratt, (Howard) Rich Fulcher (Fossil) and Noel Fielding (Vince) came out on to the stage, mucking about and dancing like twats! Me and Emma were right near the front and the crowd were mental!
So after a wonderful night and actually touching Noel's hand when he was on stage, we went out for a smoke and I suggested we hang around and try to catch them leaving the venue.
We walked round to the back stage exit and saw their security guy there and knew they would be coming out soon! I had my notebook, pen and camera at the ready! Hehe!
Then, Julian Barratt came out and we said hello and told him we had a great night!! Had our picture taken with him and I got his autograph!! God, I was shaking with excitement! Then Mike Fielding came out and said hi, but he went straight into the van, he's quite shy in real life! Then Dave Brown came out, he was so cute! Had our picture taken with him too and he signed my book!! Hehe!
Then Dee Plume and Sue Denim of Robots in Disguise followed, had a chat with Dee, again had a picture and she signed my book!! Eeeee!! THEN the legend Noel Fielding came out last, with the aura of a rock star!! I was just in awe of him (he's my favourite!) the bouncers were pushing him along, but I got close to his van and he kindly signed my book too! Couldn't get a picture, but ohhh it was amazing!! Hehehe! Me and Emma were trying to keep our cool haha!
But, the most amazing thing happened! The security guy said to me and Em as we were leaving 'do you girls want to see them on Thursday too??' and we were like, 'errrr YEAHH!' He handed us two tickets for the live show on Thursday!!! And they are ROW A! Which is the very front row of the Manchester Apollo!! My goddddd!!! We were bouncing around, screaming down the road haha! It was amazing!!! I was shaking!! I couldn't stop smiling all night! I was so high with happiness I felt like I was on drugs! Haha!
I'm already going to see them tonight with Shaun, Emma is seeing them on Friday with her boyfriend (we've had the tickets for nearly a year!!) Now, we get to see them together on the very front row, I just can't believe it!!
I will remember last night for the rest of my life!! I never thought I'd meet them and I have!! I am soooo happy I could explode!!!!
First SG last weekend and now this!!! This is the best week I have had for sooo long I just can't contain myself!!
I urge you all to check out the Mighty Boosh, if you have a sense of humour, you will love it!!
It's hard to 'get' on the first few goes, everyone I know (including me) just couldn't grasp it at first, but once you warm to the characters and understand the humour, you will be addicted for life! Haha!
So, this is a very happy Emya and more amazingness is still to come!
