A sad day for UK music.
Thoughts go to his family

John Peel has done more than most and influenced countless thousands. His legacy is immeasurable and he will live on.
frown

Time to enjoy music again, in celebration of every band i first heard of via John Peel and all those i went onto discover via leads he gave me.

False Water Cobra
Taiwan Beauty
Jamaican Boas
Argentine Boas
Royal Pythons

various fresh water turtles, blue tongued skinks, sungazers...
No table manners some of these guys.
Also took a back seat but enjoyed watching the guys bag up an extremely bad tempered egyptian spitting cobra and a more tolerant ottoman viper.

This week will be mostly taken up watching...

Tonight was different, Jazz different. But good Jazz, my mates sister played the jazz cafe so the footy team booked a few tables and went down all suited up, we looked like something out of footballers wives but it was fun and she is a great singer with a very good band, some class Rhodes playing too.Todays footy wasn't my proudest moment though frown

Got sent...

Sunday football isn't supposed to kick off at 10am at an inaccesible venue, especially after limited kip. No worries though as we kept our first clean sheet of the season and got to double figures in injury time.

Good to see you Sat, albeit briefly, for another round of shouting & mishearing over the noise. smile
(Looks up at prev. comment) But the most infuriating team is mine - LeicesterfeckinCity. I think thegoings-on at that club are scripted by the Writers of Eastenders

I think I would go with Nirvana, but i didn't see the prog - was it something about the 90's?
Am quite fond of Oasis though.
mechapearlbass:
Yeah don't think it would help my bass playing!

Well done on thrashing the Camden Tigers biggrin

and Hall of fame, I think I would have to go for either Nirvana or perhaps Radiohead

All finished on the audio jigsaw that represents 6 parts of my life, just need to pay a visit to the printshop and they will be off to Ciel's distribution network.

I never made it - a sinus infection I thought I'd got rid of has come back with a fucking vengeance and I've been whiting out all day. I feel fuckin weird puke

I'm absolutely gutted though - would have loved to have seen some of the new stuff live. The CD just keeps on growing on me. ntw though, they tour about 250 nights a year so no doubt they'll be back soon.

How are the reptiles?
ruth:
think i will give it a miss this time and catch up with my bill paying this month!
But as my best mate called today and demanded we go next time I will prob see you next month! you have my word!

It's a truly strange world. Peoples foremost emotions are suspicion, doubt and judgement. It is assumed there is ulterior motives for everything, can someone just do something out of kindness or generosity anymore without bringing on the inquisition?

I get to be a volunteer keeper in the Reptile house at ZSL now, will be doing it one day a week and mostly cleaning shit, shed...
