so i've actually been contemplating your last post in my jounnal quite a lot over the past few days - the concept of men as puzzling creatures as a result of coming to grips with both masculinity and creativity fascinates me. and it is in terms that i had never quite thought about precisely. i grew up a hyperly self-aware girl with all the classic girl struggles of intelligence and body image and sexuality. and at 23, i'm not even close to coming to terms with them yet. i suppose i have had a hard time realizing that men have the same sorts of struggles because the GIRL aspect has always been such a factor for me. but i'm learning.

ps, your "male res ipsa loquitor" joke was fantastic. there is NOTHING BETTER than law school humor. it's all about embracing your total inner nerdiness and facing the fact that, yeah, this is your life. and that fact is funny, bitch!

hey, bein' in law school in boston ain't so bad. we're not all as bad as the big H across the river (and we have a damn lot more fun, i can tell you that)..

i wrote my undergrad thesis on some environmental law stuff. no one ever knows anything about it. urban brownfield redevelopment? yeah, i thought not.

rock on with moot court. my humorously-named "Client Counseling Competition" starts this week. hey, that's what us 1Ls get. we can only dream of moot court and mock trial.

spring semester should prove interesting...i'm only a 1L, so i continue with the basic contracts, torts, etc., but pick up some con law and prof responsibility. looking forward to next year when i can bury myself in the crim law, which is what i really want to be doing (as i tell my friends, be good or i'll kick your ass in court).

oh, and i go to BC Law (don't tell your friend, but we like to fancy ourselves a little better than BU...we all need to feed the snobs within sometimes, right?)
