I saw An Inconvenient Truth tonight. See it, no matter what your stance on Gore.
Went out last night to a friend's partay in Chinatown for his Burning Man fundraiser. This, after getting up at 7:30am to get to work, I managed to squeezed in a Pilates class before school started at 6pm. Was at school until nearly 10:15pm, and e didn't get to the... Read More
This is my favorite quote about time, for the time being.
Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived. - From Jean-Luc Picard (allegedly)
Guess who's going to see Dane Cook film his last show for HBO Tourgasm next week?
I'm one of the cool kids now? Yeah, right. I like Dane's humor, not so much because I find it incredibly funny, but it's as random as I am! Besides, there's something so satisfying about listening to his CD's at the gym. All the R&B pseudorap guys listening to... Read More
Too bad there hasn't been a lot of time. In between work and school and my ever growing cache of extra curricular activities, I'm hard-pressed to be able to get together what I really want to do with myself when I grow up.
Perhaps I missed the memo, and I think that when I was suspended in... Read More
I've always wanted to work with animals. You have to have all sorts of experience and references even to Volunteer at most places here
I almost got a job at a Vets on the reception once upon a time but my complete lack of driving skills meant they took someone else over me. Shame.
I often wonder where the time goes that I'm supposed to be able to spend to work out exactly what I want to do with my life, but it never comes. I guess the problem is that we have to make a living while we try and ponder if that's what we really want to be doing.
Today was nearly complete SHITE, save for feeling accomplished at seeing the "Pet of the Week" that I helped work on. Volunteering will prove to be immensely rewarding, the time flies by when you see the faces of all of the lost and abandoned pets. The poor dears, they wait to be adopted, and it can break your heart. Or you can help... Read More
some things i've learned in life:
1) 32 is a strange age. i thought 31 sucked. it seemed like just about everything that could go wrong went wrong that year. so far, 32 has been oddly positive. i think that the winds of karma take you into rough stuff at 31 and then give you a little bit of a kick-back if you make it to 32
2) the car is a hassle. even new cars are a hassle. all you can do is budget $X.xx a month toward car repairs, and if you don't spend it, just bank it and add it to next month's savings
3) you're the coolest chick around. happy birthday! do you want me to buy you shoes? little strappy p.u. mary janes? *sigh*
Silent Hill was surprisingly entertaining, especially since someone I know was in it AND she had the best lines of the movie. Ha. Really though, I was pleasantly surprised. It also didn't hurt that I found a $5 on the ground on the way back to the car. Hooray!
I also got an 88 on my last test, so I'm doing pretty... Read More
I've now accrued 111.5 hours in beauty school. I've also been tipped on every single service I've given. Yay. All I need is 488.5 more. If I make it that far.
On another note, stupid catty girls can go fuck themselves. If they can even figure THAT out. I'm so over drama involving dumb catty beeeyotches. Really, I don't care what other people do, what... Read More
Drama drama drama in that bizz baby. You could start your own punk rock shop and salon then you can weed out the drama. otherwise your in the thick of it.
I've always had a conflict because I'm shy and yet I like to take up a lot of personal space. Mom always said, "Don't be pushy, but let everybody know that you're around." I wanted to command more space than I was commanding, but then I knew I was too shy to know what to do with the... Read More
Great marks thus far, stay the course.
