What era Rolling Stones are you into?

I'm starting to explore their oeuvre a little more. My brother gave me a bunch of his CD's when he bought the reissues. Right now, I'm getting really into their old, R&B-influence stuff. They have some really great work.

Actually, the cab I got for $1 was a Sonic, which was part of the deal when I bought the head. I got the Marshall cab later on for somewhere in the $400 neighborhood.

Yeah, those Marshall combos can cost a fortune. I saw one for relatively cheap recently. It was 100 W, but only had one 12" speaker in it. From experience, I would suggest you get a 2X12".

testimonials - originally meant as a comment about someone's character left by people that supposedly can vouch for you, and that survive each journal update (they're always there). Meant to either let someone who doesn't know you get a better idea of you without having to go thru your journals in hopes that you've left bits about yourself in them.

I said originally, because while many testimonials are either serious or funny comments, they are rarely about the person on this site, but rather statements that didn't fit into the person's journal that day (or any other).

If you were serious about seeing their show, you can just show up. If you were hoping to jam with them some more, its best to call them and ask them. If you're not going to be there, ediquette would be to call them and thank them for calling you, but that you won't be able to make it (you should not have to state a reason, but if you do don't say you have something "better" to do).

If you are uncertain whether they will be there or not, and as a cautionary just in case, you are allowed to call them a day or 2 in advance to make sure that they will still be there (if you are going), but I would suggest this only if you don't talk to them before then. If talking beforehand again, you can at that time ask that they notify you should their gig get cancelled, but then no follow-up call.

It really all depends on whether or not these guys are friend-worthy or not. Friend-worthy, see above, not friend worthy don't waste your time.

For those benders where you're trying to get drunk but don't wanna think - try exercising yourself silly, get really tired, before you start drinking. Then turn on the TV to CSpan or something equally boring.

yeah, I check it everyday. In fact, don't know about yours but I just emailed my cell number to you through your profile. Juan has made a brilliant observation - although I have my phone with me all the time, when in the bar I leave it in the car.

Now that I look at some schedules, it looks like she may not be working much this week. She's scheduled for wednesday only at the moment. So its entirely possible that you've accomplished what no one I know of has - a complete weekend of her all to yourself (so to speak).

Which if true, means that you are my number one hero (sorry juan).
