I want to hear your war stories, dammit! I know you're probably sick of telling them, but I came to law school with a clear idea that I wanted to be a prosecutor. I still do, but public defense work has intrigued me more and more lately. I'd love to hear the stories, if you ever feel like spilling...

Prosecutors Ya know, a friend of mind just finished a Fed. App. Ct. clerkship. He got offers to go, well, anywhere. Even DOJ. But he decides to be a prosecutor. I begged and pleaded. I will never see the draw. Unless you want to be a politician.

I linked to your past journal entries too. I wish I could say something like I understand how you feel, but I don't. I think very few people do. I have nieces and nephews. It would absolutely destroy me if that happened. Hang in there, man.

The law is a jealous mistress. Its hard not to talk about it all the time. Anyway, I want to hear what 50% of the world hates you and why.

I liked the idea of that place. Sort of cura personalis. They were looking to stem recidivism I suppose. I know I have their material laying around somewhere . . . .

I work with a guy who was a felony trial atty with the pd for a number of years. I sometimes wish I had embarked down that road to earn my stripes, but the place I work will do just fine I suppose. Before that he was the head of the Wisconsin ACLU. I help him on a lot of post-conviction and appellate work. Researching stuff for a brief to the WI Sup. Ct. right now as a matter of fact.

its my moms. i ususlly borrow all mine lens from her. i wish i could get a marcro that lets you get closer but they are really expensize.

the ww2 gun wasn't at the fort. it was with my dad in north carolina. i'm an army brat.

i can't remember whether that's where i went or not. i think it was. it was long ago on some class trip. i haven't fired a gun since i was much younger. and then it was this big ww2 bolt action rifle. it was fun. especially with all the soldiers staring at little me shooting the big noisy gun.

the extreme lighting on those pictures actually makes it look like you used a red filter on black and white film. very cool

yeah the effect is just too cool when it comes to black and white filter. you can only use it a couple of times on color film without the effect getting old. i love filters though. they are so much easier to afford than lenses and give you an array of possibilities and new tricks to try. i never go without my UV filter and have been really looking for something to use my new soft focus filter on.

vent! sorry things are so stressfull for you.

wouldn't it be unethical for a judge to say something like that to an attorney? their job is to pass judgement on defendants, not the people representing them. good luck with all that though.

but venting is what this little board is all about. if i didn't have SG, i would be yelling at a wall in my room. but that's just me.
