I have a feeling that I am headed straight for a ghetto fabulous apartment at this point - luckily, I have awesome parents who are going to help me out with the ridiculous start-up costs of finding a place, but paltry loan budgets and a serious lack of time to actually earn additional money during the school year are seriously hampering my living options. Every year, in this area, there's some major expose of horrible landlords renting out disgusting apartments to students because housing is so in demand that we have no other affordable viable options. I may very well end up weeping on a news magazine within a few months. Suppose it will prepare me for life as a government lawyer though....

When I was in my teens I used to work at a plant nursery for an old German guy and his son. At the end of the day we'd all gather at the back of the shed on the edge of the strawberry field. They'd drink a Blatz and I'd have a Jolly Good rootbeer and we'd talk shit for a while.
I'd buy those 12 oz bottles from the bottle Coke machine in the youth activity room at my church when I was a kid. It'd be cool to get one of those old machines now . . . and the bottle was only a quarter! But you had to drink it there and put the empty in the rack next to the machine because they were returnable.
