ugh I had a car that had to have midgrade for a while. even when gas wasn't that expensive (or when almost $2 a gallon *felt* expensive), I hated having to spend the extra dime per gallon!
in iowa, though, I got spoiled, because they put ethanol in the midgrade and the ethanol is subsidized, so midgrade is generally about a dime a gallon cheaper than regular.
