But Outside is my absolute favourite album of all time, and Earthling ranks right behind it in my favourite Bowie albums list. The music that David and Reeves made together is a glorious noise like no other, and I'm sad that their collaboration is ended.
I'm most sad about the fact that I missed the tours for both those albums, and that I won't get the chance to see them live. I may have occasion to go down to LA sometime this year or next for work, and my first social stop will be at the Baked Potato, where Reeves holds court on a pretty regular basis.
But it won't be the same as watching him throw down on "Through These Architect's Eyes", y'know?
