Today the sky leans down leaving you feeling exposed and vulnerable, like a new haircut. Today though, the buzzards aren't circling, and it's easier to get a foothold on the tightrope.

They do not speak in the language of families.

Today the light is coming at you from all angles, in shards from panes of shattered bliss.

And they glare at you from the other...

Yeas, Unearth rocks.

I am planning on getting out of my current housing situation, yet I am unable to move too far south, as my werk is located in the east bay. I am financially stable, and am actually making a damn good living for my age... its just more that there are quite a few unexpected costs arising at the moment.

I might even stay put, until such time that I have greater flexibilty... prefer not to, tho... frown

The east bay IS pricy, and if I had the flexibility, I would much rather move to Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, I must stay in the Berkely/Oakland region. whatever

As for the final thought: I would enjoy a college degree, I'm just not sure what in. biggrin

Now what?

So Christmas is rapidly gaining on me, like a starved slavering beast eager to feast on my corpse. I can run, but I can't hide.
Normally I love Christmas..well apart from the seasonal depression...that I don't love so much...but that's not really an issue now that I've transplanted myself to the golden state. Golden Bear state. State of Bears dipped in pools of...

A very odd feeling indeed.

Do you know what's a weird feeling? When you know you're making a huge mistake that will probably ruin your life for ever. I mean, anyone can make a snap decision that turns out badly--in many ways, that's what life is about--but what I'm talking about here is something that you actually plan for months, and carry out to its...

Time for an update.

Bought some stuff today, which is always fulfilling. Let's see. The final haul included the new Meshuggah EP (see my new profile pic), a copy of Dead to Rights for XBOX that I got for 6 bux (woo!), a box of Pocky (YEAAAAAH!) and a blank video tape so I can record NHK news and Hodo 2001 tomorrow.
I feel good....

I had the god damndest dream the other night.

In the dream I was hanging out with an old boss of mine named Matthew. Now, if you know me in real life you know that this fact already makes this dream bizarre beyond description, but then on top of that, he was cheating on his wife with this asian girl who was possibly younger than...

Wooo!
Finally got my XBOX after weeks of waiting.
All I need now is to win something cool in that competition and...um....things will be better?
Ugh.
In other news, it's somehow gotten harder to find a job in the Bay Area. Although I guess that's a tough call to make since it was already nearly impossible unless you had 5 years of experience doing....something.
Way...

Make up a job and list me as your supervisor. Be creative.

I'd like to see a Carville - Coulter pie fight with a South park twist. Or maybe in real life on Real Time.

I keep forgetting that things don't get as bad as they can get until I start thinking positive.

The election? Well, it was interesting, that's for sure. To be honest, I didn't much like either candidate. Bush was running on morals and Kerry was running against Bush. Neither had any strong policy points that really got me excited.

I felt that Kerry did some things right - he appealed to the middle class and the educated - but he failed to pull the union vote and present himself as a "common man." While he clearly explained the nuance of each situation to educated voters, he never gave the short concise "Clif Notes" answer that he needed to provide.

Bush was clear that his focus would be on Christian oriented policy directed at domestic issues and fighting terrorism, but I feel that his ideological bent concerned many Republicans. He may have won the battle, but he may have lost the war; it is tough to see what platform a 2008 Republican candidate will run on to keep Bush's voters, without following the same extremist leaning.

I was very happy to see Kerry concede vice challenging the counts; the country has already had enough pain as it is. I felt it was a very classy thing to do. I've had people crying in my classes in college - that's how personal this election was for them. While I understand how important this election was, they happen every 4 years.

As far as SG goes, I'm still commenting, but I'm not out to anatagonize anyone, so... smile

I feel an all-nighter coming.
I mean, this is always what it comes down to.

I have until the 30th to get this remix up and send a link to the label for judging. Except, I don't really have tomorrow to work on it because I have to work(possibly?) and then tomorrow night is the SG Burlesque in Santa Cruz. And at this point I'm...

That last sentence tells me exactly how lucky you are, sir.

I love inspiration in its purest form, where all you can think about is what needs to escape from your head... sleep falls by the wayside and you cannot rest until reaching completion. Kinda miss the days of being an artist...

All nighters are both debilitating and gratifying, and I must say, a part of me misses them too... whether for work or otherwise.

BTW, what ever happened with that job that involved Pixar? Did all of your non-chalant-ness pay off?

Piece.

After many many cursewords and much pulling of hair, yesterday actually turned out pretty cool.
My first challenge for the day was to actually get Morrowind running on my computer. Now, this may not sound like a very lofty goal, but I've been trying to get that damn thing to run since I got it, and due to various incomprehensible factors I could never get...
