It's a beautiful sunny Sunday in Las Vegas. We took the new convertable out for a drive to Red Rock with the top down. It was a blast. It's amazing how just driving can seem like doing something now.

I see exactly what you mean now about being able to hang out with a bunch of other chefs when working casinos. We've got six restaurants between the two casinos; there are five sous chefs plus the restaurant chef in just my outlet. Plus, the other P.M. Sous is exactly my kind of chef.
I need to go out and have some fun this weekend. I've been sittin' around doing nothing on my days off for weeks. I think a hike in Red Rock is in order. Maybe bring the dogs, a picnic lunch. It's sounding better every minute. I just have to make it through one more busy night.

I'd look into DSL. Cable is more expensive per month plus you usually have to pay for the modem. I got free installation, a free modem and 640k download for $40/month. Cable does go faster, but I just don't see the need for that much speed.
I think my yoga students might think I'm a little nuts. I taught them mantra and chanting today. I doubt they knew they were going to do that when they signed up for the class. Fuck it. It's my favorite class to teach. The looked like they had a good time and I know that I did.

We ate at Bouchon at the Venetian tonight. Great meal, beautiful restaurant, great service and the manager bought us dessert because I knew her. I love when that happens. It makes me feel like I've got juice or something.

I downloaded Monster off usenet last week and finally watched it last night. Holy fuck. Great movie. By the way, if I'm not mistaken, I believe Shiva would like free dessert when she visits. In case you hadn't noticed.
